  1. Hello friends! let me tell you a little bit about myself.

I first discovered porn around the years during my transition from middle school into high school. I knew during high school from my religious upbringing that PMOing was bad, but it wasn't until I discovered nofap this past summer that I fully understood the disastrous impacts pornography has on my life and the lives of others. I have had various streaks throughout my nofap journey, but as of late I cannot make it past two weeks (my highest streak being 46 days). I had accumulated a good streak of 12 days because I was on spring break, but sadly... I relapsed last night. As useful as the subreddit is in always providing encouragement and advise, it became too easy to go into incognito mode and look up nsfw material. I have now become a member of this community on the nofap website to seek advice without having the temptation of messing around on reddit (I blocked the website on my phone and computer). I hope to be posting and commenting daily here to get me back on track. Thanks for having me guys and girls!

Welcome to NoFap Daniel. Congratulations and great job on making the choice to combat PMO. I wish you the best on your journey. Do you have a strategy plan to combat PMO?

  3. Thanks for your quick reply! Yes I do. Although I admit it probably isn't working as well as it should. My main strategy is really to just stay busy and work hard on campus (I'm a senior in college) and really only go home to either eat or sleep. I currently have every website I could ever use for PMO restricted on my phone and computer and have intrusted my friend to hold on to them for me, so that I cannot access them easily.

The thing I need to work on most is meditation and acknowledging the urge and activitely doing something against it. Normally I get the urge or cue and kind of naturally go with it until I inevitably relapse.

That's actually some great steps. A couple of additional things you can do (not guaranteed but they worked for me) is to replace your urges with a healthy habit. So, when the urge strikes maybe do push-ups, pick up a book, etc. You can also keep updates on when you reset (I have faith you won't) and when you conquer a day. Take pride in beating days. Victories should be recognized. Finally, the free book is helpful. Educating yourself on how porn works can help you recognize how to combat it. Stay strong and good luck!
