My Lame Intro

Who am I? I am a person with ups and downs, like everyone else. Why am I here? To stamp out both masturbation and pornography from my life. I was diagnosed with severe depression a while back, and started down the road of addiction at about age 13. I am now 19, religious, and have a significant other. Ever since the beginning, I've used masturbation as a coping mechanism to compensate for the very low amount of "feel good" chemicals in my brain. I am determined to find better ways of coping and releasing the aforementioned brain-chems. I struggle with shame and hatred towards myself on a daily basis. I am determined to fulfill my goal of abstinence and self-forgiveness for a better life, and this place seems like a great place to start.

In regards to PMO, I believe I have been doing well. Day 5 out of 90 now. I'll probably go longer, but thinking too far ahead with that is overwhelming for me.

As of now I'm somewhat building upon strategies as I go. Like purposely keeping myself busy, staying positive in general, and keeping a little daily log on here. What do you think? I'd greatly appreciate any tips that have helped you along your journey as well.
