    Greetings Astronauts,

Today I am finally taking action to reboot completely.

Having been trying on and off since the beginning of the year I have decided to take this journey publicly on NoFap (which I believe should make me more accountable).

I am married so I'll be aiming to clock normal mode for 100 days. The best run I've had was no PM for 26 days and I know very well that the chaser effect is real and dangerous (hence relapsing since).

I am hoping to gain increased intimacy with my wife, focus and productivity at work and generally healthier living.

    Even with the ups and downs I've had since acknowledging porn is a problem for me, I must say that my life has improved during the various streaks of no PMing for example;
    • I committed to living a healthier lifestyle so I'm eating healthier, playing social sports and generally feeling livelier.
    • I have cut down on social smoking drastically due to the above.
    • I find it easier to wake up in the morning.
    • I'm spending more quality time with my wife and our friends.
Hopefully some of these things are motivational for other budding Fapstonauts as you can really see improvements early on in your reboot just you gotta stay strong and resist the urges to avoid relapsing!

I really hope some of you will check in with me from time to time to see how I'm tracking.

All the best to everyone wherever you are at with you own journeys!

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

    How are you progressing today?

What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

Today is Day 6 of the reboot.

Had a good weekend which was filled with activity. I find that when I'm busy I don't even think about PMO. When I'm alone and unoccupied it really is a trigger and looking back each time I've relapsed it has been either when I'm bored at work or procrastinating.

The urges are definitely there however the motivation and willpower is high at the moment so I have endured. I am expecting the urges and triggers to hit much harder as they have done when relapsing previously. This time however I have NoFap on my side!

Thanks for the replys D.J and Detraks. It really does resonate when real people let you know you have support.

As for strategies to combat PMO, keeping busy is kind of a lucky thing I've got going on (I have Training courses for the next 6 working days and I'm chocka block with friends and family on the weekend). Posting semi-regularly on NoFap also is seeming like a helpful way to stay away from PMO. The added accountability of know others are rooting for you is a bit of a willpower boost. Lastly to help keep this feeling of "Realness" I am thinking of "incentivising" or "gamifying" the NoFap experience by proposing rewards for certain milestones achieved i.e. Buy a 6 Pack of Beer when I hit a fortnight etc. Stay tuned for the next post!

I have been meaning to post an update on my reboot however due to been in training courses I've been putting it off.

Today is officially day 17 of my reboot process (courtesy of the NoFap counter that is now working). As you can see I'm am only running on normal mode as I'm married to my beautiful wife so O's are still been had. Information is power and from reading on yourbrainonporn, NoFap and Reuniting.info I have become familiar with the effects of orgasms, chaser effect etc on our brains and hopefully possess the knowledge to combat it.

Today will be particularly difficult as I have a day off work and are home alone. Pretty much a nasty trigger for wasting countless of hours on PMing. But you can all hold me accountable! Plenty of good information in the post by D.J. above and at the very top where rebooting is referred to as a war with PM(O) really resonates with me. The enemy does not play fair! And that really is true judging from the urges I've been getting just from thinking about been home alone for the day.

I am going to power through today though. I have plenty of work to do and if the urges are getting too powerful I'll be heading out to shoot a basketball at the park for an hour or so. I also have plenty of other distractions at home (Nintendo Switch, Cats and Dogs, Xbox) to engage with if the urges are coming on strong.

Feeling pretty good about my reboot thus far but I know that full effort and attention will be required to get to day 100.

    All the best everyone.

Hey bro have you considered starting a journal instead of writing on this post that was meant for your introduction

im not saying its bad but their is a place for everything and you risk being greeted by people that are unaware even if this post is I don't know a month old.

    Stay strong bro
