It's been almost 90 days since I started doing well in NoFap, after a year of trying and losing every month. At the time, I didn't know much about NoFap, I just saw some kind of challenge to abstain from porn for 1 month, and when I noticed I couldn't do it, I noticed I was addicted to porn, so I started trying every month. But finally I'm arriving at the mark of 90 days without PMO. Really hoping to finish the 90 days challenge

That's excellent, man. I love how you kept trying even after you fell short month after month--and now here you are, knocking on the door of a proper full reboot.

Can you share a bit about what shifted for you, specifically around how you went from not being able to last a month time and again to where you are now? I think it helps new guys especially to hear the specifics on how people got stronger through sticking with it.

Again, good job on the progress so far. Good luck on the final stretch.

  5. That's really nice. For me, the thing that's working is the no arousal method! :D

What's the no arousal method? help me please

  7. The no arousal method is what helped me to be honest. Google it! There's quite a bit to read about it, but it's totally worth it! In essence, your not thinking of PMO at all. The slightest thought of it should be ignored and just continue with your life. You need to learn the art of transmutation. Napoleon Hill, emphasizes on the art of transmutation as the cause of the successfulness one experiences. You can't be consistently thinking of abstinence, you need to divert your thought to work, reading, exercising and studying. Napoleon Hill's book, "Think and grow rich" has a chapter on transmutation that explains everything very well.

I agree with the no arousal method. It's working for me; diverting my attention to much healthier and less harmful/hurtful behaviors. Whether it's an early morning CrossFit WOD, a walk in the woods, yoga, reading, meditation, music; it's anything to divert my attention from destructive PMO. After my wife left for work this morning, instead of engaging in past damaging behaviors involvling PMO and the laptop, I opted for an energizing morning yoga vinyasa followed by a meditative savasana, accompanied by some uplifting kirtan chanting (thanks to Krishna Das). Every day further in to my hard mode reboot enlightens me more and more as to how destructive and unhealthy my past behaviors were to me, to my family, to my relationships with others. I don't ever want to go back; onward and upward!! I'm glad I found NoFap...for the advice and insight gained from others' posts, but also for the therapy I have found in putting words down to express my own struggles and author my own posts. Thanks everyone, for your support. Indirectly, together, we are all stronger than our individual selves. For that I will be forever grateful.
