Whats with the dreams getting weird? I am 17 male and started nofap in february.

Recently, like from 2 days, in my dreams I am relapsing to porn. I wake up thinking I broke my streak but I find myself in the bed early morning. This has never happened to me before. Only one time during my best streak around april.

P.S. They donot seem to be wet dreams as my undergarments stay clean...

    Anyone experienced something similiar before??

I've had a similar experience though it was a wet dream. Either way, I think the dreams have to do with being more conscious of your habit and trying to stop it which is a good sign if you ask me.

I had a similar dream recently. I succumbed to the temptation in the dream, I was then caught by my "wife" (in the dream I had a wife...). I felt tangible guilt that stayed with me after I woke up... then I got down on myself and went full PMO. Numbed the guilt. That was two weeks ago.

I heard of nofap today and decided to join. I need to give and receive support.

    Stay strong suyash!

The dreams could be from some subconscious part of you that wants to watch porn, so to speak. Continue to starve this part of you though and see if the dreams go away!

It maybe because I used to masturbate on the bed lying on my back. I dont know.
    Anyway thanks for the replies...

Yes. I experienced this a few days ago. I felt really guilty, the whole day actually. I didn't know why. Well, the reboot is coming long absolutely great! I haven't had a wet dream in forever!

When I had my first wet dream, I also felt guilty the whole day...

I had a couple of nights where I dreamed I was masturbating and in my mind I was like damn it I broke my streak. But then I woke up and it was ok. I think because I use to do it so much it got engraved in my brain. For instance when I'm running a lot I have dreams about running. But we can break our connection to it.

Yeah, I always have dreams like this when I haven't PMO'd in a while. I dream about scrolling through porn sites. I dream of masturbating to them. I feel like crap because I've broken my streak. Then I wake up.

The worst part is, they're the most realistic dreams I have. :(

This happens to me. I think it's a withdrawal symptom because it seems like your brain wants porn so bad that it dreams about it.

Why would that be happening if you have rebooted?

Dreams are something that your subconscious makes and they tend to be about something that's important to you in some way.

I've had dreams of my parents catching me reading porn magazines well into my adulthood, and that's of course because I was afraid of being caught. What you are dreaming of is something similar. You're afraid that you relapse and break your streak, so your dreams are essentially nightmares, and as thus, they are very natural.

From what I've heard (so that's not really proven to be true), generally you are seeing nightmares when you are doing well, and you see good dreams when you are unwell. It's the brain's way of keeping you level-minded, either by comforting you, or keeping you on edge whichever is required more.

It is interesting to learn other people have these dreams too. I've had them during previous streaks however the dreams were always me sleeping with this girl not of me getting caught using.

Something like this happened to me last night as well. As a result, I thought that a relapse would come soon. Is it common to experience dreams like these consecutive nights?

I think it's a good sign to have these dreams. It engages other parts of your brain than just plain dopamine delivery. The SAME parts that makes you achieve things. Those parts that have been shut down because of repeated PMOing just to get your quick fix.

So it's not a sign that a relapse is coming. It's a sign that your brains are waking from slumber.

It happened to me last night. Felt pretty real to me, and I was very happy for it only being a dream after I woke up.
