There is dreams and dreams, you remember some and forget other. There is also nightmares and there is wet dreams. What about lucid dreams? In one you can intentionally have sex and it's so real that you can't tell the difference from reality. So is it a relapse if you do it?

Sounds like it would depend on the aim of the abstaining?

    Imagine two different aims:

Person A is on hard PMO because he has experienced the fetish chase of using more and more obscene pornographic materials, and wants to reset back to a healthy, more wholesome innate sexuality.
Then sexual lucid dreams would probably be counterproductive since they would be mired in the fetish chase he's escaping from.

Person B is on hard PMO because he wants to get better at interacting with women: internal drive, confidence, etc.
Then sexual lucid dreams could potentially be a training tool towards that?
I think it was in Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming that Stephen LaBerge mentions an orchestra musician who was going to play a solo role for the first time, and how the musician used lucid dreams to practice for it, with success.

Edit: Then there's also issues of wholeness and how different aspects of your life influences other aspects and all that, of course.

I am a bit of Person A and Person B, but i don't believe i will fall into a fetish right away, or at least i don't think my subconscious will let me abuse the realm like that anyway.Once tried and as i walked into a bar with a beautiful girl with the intentions of getting involved sexually there was nothing but empty space behind the door.It was the way my subconscious self was telling me that's not ok.

Also as i think on that there is no instant gratification in lucid dreaming, a lot of effort is involved in the process. And more over you can't abuse it like the high speed internet, you just can't do it every night even if you want to.Also your other self might not want to have any part of it and shut you down at any time.

LaBerge in his books claims that after enough practice, he could lucid dream any night he wanted to.

What makes you think lucid dreams count as a relapse?
What makes you think they don't?

If you're on PMO, it might be relevant to mention that in the laboratory experiments mentioned in LaBerge's books, lucid dream orgasms were accompanied by physical orgasms too. (Though not necessarily ejaculation, I think.)

No I don't think so. Last week I had a very lucid dream. I was dreaming that I was M in my bed (I always used to M in my bed) and that I could have stopped myself but I didn't and hit orgasm and it felt so real. I even felt the relapse effects and the bad feelings. Then I really woke up after 30m and shouted to myself : Why did you do this only to find that I had nothing at all. No cum in my pants neither in my bed. I even went to the bathroom to be sure. All clean. Happened to me once before. I dreamed that I masturbated watching porn on my new phone and it felt so damn real only to realise when i woke up that it was a wet dream and my phone was still in his sealed box.
