I PMO mostly because im either horny (which i most of the freaking time), bored or home alone. I know all about that "find a hobby or exercise" thing, but you guys need to tell me what else I can do to keep my hands off the joystick. FYI im single at 26, workaholic, stressed with college (Postgrad)...and I really dont want PIED....btw
I have noticed that it takes me less time to O after M nowadays...less than a minute at times.

i also think , i cannot run away from every bad habits . i must find way to use it wisely and effectively for productive purpose .

watch a good lecture... Even a documentary would be fine
i would recommend discovery , history , TLC , fox traveler , fyi tv , national geography TV documentary.

but again after watching tv or youtube is addictive...........right?

Clean or tidy up your apartment. Unless you become obsessed with it, this has a cleansing effect on your psyche, too.

It helps on a symbolic level. To an extent, the outer room you live in is a reflection of your inner room. Ever heard that to work efficiently on a desk you need to clean it up first?
You obviously want to get those unnecessary thoughts out of your head; so get the garbage out, wash the dishes or just tidy up and put stuff back where it belongs. If you haven't done it, try it. I got rid of urges that way more than once.

  7. People that make their bed every morning are more productive. Making your bed! The most pointless thing you can do! But psychologically it is very powerful.

:D:D:D I love my bed unspread...why spread it yet il be there a few hours later. Plus its a rat race for me every morning..

  9. That's the whole point! It seems like a completely purposeless action, but it is very powerful psychologically. It makes you feel like a more orderly person, and one that is willing to go out of ones way to get things done. That feeling will trickle its way into other parts of your life.

  10. Truth. I've noticed this in my own life and in my friends. I can always tell if he's struggling with his alcoholism by the state of his apartment.

If you say you're a college student, study all you can. That excessive energy can be put to good use. I also tried to find a website with exercises to do at home, so you may search for that too. Just like some people said, if you want to have sex real bad, just exercise so that when the day comes, at least you can look good doing it. I'm not pushing you or anything, these are just tips that helped. I've also found that in my free time, playing video games help take my mind off of it. Try to play games that don't really focus on gameplay, play ones that focus on the narrative. If you have a PC or a good console, better boot that bad boy up and search the store for some time. There are really great stories in games that you can try. Also, if you see some 'scenes' in those games, either just act normal like it's something that's not important or turn around so that the story isn't skipped and you don't see what's happening. Or you can just pick a game which doesn't contain those :D. Some people recommend books, and that's a good way too. Focusing on a story in general is the goal here. TV isn't a very nice resort as you don't know what will appear, but watching YouTube with YouTubers you trust will blur everything out, preferably a PG13 channel can be fun.
Hope you try these, and make it like I am!

You say you are a workaholic. You could probably use some serious breaks from work to make your work times more productive. A good rest break does wonders. Working with breaks help. It is no accident that recreation is re-creation; taking a break creates us anew and we can work freshly. Do not make recreation work, it has to be relaxing, enjoyable, feel good. It can be hard work, like a game of basketball, but afterwards you feel great. It cannot be something that you don't like and leaves you frustrated.
Sometimes a power nap does wonders; a good book or calm music can also help. TV is not your best option. TV is to recreation about what porn is to sex. Watching actors look like they were having fun and living is not the same as living and having fun yourself.
It also helps enjoy life when you do it with somebody else. There are times to walk something off, but walking with somebody has a double benefit. A serious introvert may not want to play team sports for recreation, but they can tolerate a friend or two and be blessed by it.
    Relax, you will accomplish more.

Simple distractions are not enough. Being more productive is way more satisifying. People have some good ideas here. Things as simple as making your bed every morning and keeping your room, documents, finances and misc. things in your life organized is very productive.

    Be more productive!
