Unsure and confused

Whenever I start a streak, I start having headaches and disturbing feelings just like when a cigarette or a drug addict does when he tries to distance himself from his companion. Yes, companion is the word I would use. PMO has been my companion from almost five years. I just become disturbed shitless whenever I try nofap because I don't know what to do with all the time and energy that is freed up. Earlier I used PMO to tire myself to sleep. Please don't give any "get a new hobby" or "go religious" kinda advice because I have tried it all. The only remedy for me would be to get laid for real but again, that's not possible in the part of the world I come from unless you get married and I am at least five years away from marriage.

I think everyone has different withdrawal symptoms when they break a habit. I start to get anxiety and nightmares every time I start a streak but I learned to understand that this is part of the process having done it several times. Your symptoms will improve as you break through it and do it more and more. It's actually a good sign I think that you feel these symptoms; it means your body is adjusting to the new you so to speak. I would try to do some meditation or exercising which could keep your blood circulating better. It might help with the headaches too. Stick with it buddy and PM me if you need an AP.

I recommend working out. I go to the gym every night from 9ish-10ish and it definitely tires me out and allows me to get a good night sleep without feeling the need to masturbate. I also recommend finding a good book or find a productive project to work on. That way you can go work out, come home and eat/drink a protein shake or something, then either read or work on your project before bed.

if it hasnt worked for you yet, its not because it doesnt work, its because you havent yet found a way to make it work for you. but you will, keep trying man. good luck
