Hey guys, I have relapsed again. When I first joined here I made it 13 days. I broke down and restarted again and again.. And I'm restarting again tonight. I was laying in bed and I couldn't sleep. So I was like hey I'll try to get hard and maybe that'll help. Well that was a bad idea.. I went to one of my old websites and told myself I'll just watch one video, that video turned into two more vids and a regret. I just get bored when I can't sleep. I workout, I work. I need something else to keep my urges from getting the best of me. I'm open to all criticism and suggestions

I think the first thing you can do is not beat yourself up. This sort of thing happens, you gotta pick yourself up right away, forget the past and start over. You can do this! When its late and I have the urge, it is very difficult to fight, I know this. I have laid awake many a sleepless night fighting the temptation to eventual fapping. But, what I've realized from taking these challenges is that I have a sharper focus and control over myself than I used to think I did. The battle begins before the urges do - its better to strike first than to try to fight in the middle of it. The best way I think to avoid it happening in bed, is to find a different way to fall asleep. I try to check this site each night before I go to bed, and journal. That really helps and sortof gets me in the right mindset to face the challenge I've set before myself. I like to read before bed, and prayer helps too if you are the praying type. I usually fall asleep reading or in prayer, then I don't have to worry about fapping. Hopefully thats helpful to you! I know its difficult but you have the power to overcome!

We have to brainwash ourselves with NEW POSITIVE HABBIT. WE won't get to NEW places in life using the same old bad addictive habbis and tactics we've used thus far.

Do the chalenge while smoking ganja. That's the secret sorta. At least it works for me. How could you possibily remember where your crotch is after smoking that KO Kush indica.

In my experience I survived a whole two weeks of depresion just because of marijuana after that everything was smooth sailing and I reached up to 60 days no PMO.

Also if you look at all the rap stars why do you think they can keep fucking loads of women like dogs it because they know the internet is bad for them.

I used to know a semi celebrity who would sit home and smoke ganja. All the haze he smoked made him mad smooth with the ladies and he'd spend the whole day texting and calling girls instead of looking for them online.

Basically we should listen more to Peter Tosh from the 80s and legalise it mate!!

13 days is good! Well done. But more importantly, well done for keep coming back. That shows real determination and strength of character.
Well, it looks like you have found a trigger. And you need to be very aware of that voice that suggested it. It used your weakness of being tired along with the lies that all you need is one video, one erection just for the comfort. It lied and lied. Recognise that voice. Learn to talk to it and name it for what it is, your addiction.

When I hear that voice I just swear. It makes me angry. I am angry that I am addicted and I am angry at that addicted part of me. Anger might not be the best thing before you go to sleep, but maybe getting up and walking round the room a little, or putting the pillow at the other end of the bed and sleeping that way, or try counting backwards from 786. I have never got to 0, but it takes concentration not to let your mind wander. It is a simple form of meditation.

    Good luck!

    Hey needsomehelp,

You can try to find a wind-down routine at night that might help you to calm down before you hit the sack. Something that doesn't involve computer/tablet/phone screens, cuz the light they emit basically screws up the brain chemistry and makes it hard to fall asleep. For about an hour before bed you can try something like reading, doing a bit of meditation, reflecting on the day, writing in a personal journal (pen and paper, not laptop), and plan the day ahead, which is generally what I do. Working out a nightly winding-down routine for myself has helped me to fall asleep faster and sleep a little better.

Totally agree with Peregrinnus. Journaling can really help, and the general rule for getting to sleep is NO SCREENS for 30 minutes before actually drifting off. Audio- or book-based language learning can be a great sedative. Are you interested in learning Spanish? German? or just new English vocabulary? Dictionaries are fricking sleeping pills.

You have a lot of support here! Relapses will happen, they happen to us all! Now pick one of these ideas and carry it out, let your fans here know how it goes!

Terrible advice, you shouldn't encourage people to smoke drugs, especially drugs that make anxiety and confidence issues worse.

Your semi celeb friend is confident with women, weed doesn't help that in fact it usually makes it worse.

Lastly, you don't know how many women rap stars fuck, you only know what they tell you, you sound "mad" gullible and easily lead.

I always read a few pages of a not too exciting book (LOTR atm) or listen to an audiobook until I doze off. It's also good to go to bed and wake up at set times, so that the next time you go to sleep, your body gives in to it faster. Also try to eat enough during the day because if you're hungry, you can't sleep either. If you only now have trouble with getting to sleep, it probably is withdrawal from PMO. When you're aware of it, just know that it's an obstacle that your body throws at you to test you ;)
