    Failed (heavily) during the weekend but I am coming back to the saddle again for this month.
     
  2. A week late but better to be late than not to join at all.
    Today's day 11. Came on the forum just now because an urge struck me. That cheeky fucker knows when I'm weak. When I sit in my room, having my dinner and sitting in front my computer. So I had to run here, a haven for my mind. I relapsed a good dozen of times because I tried to fight the urge with nothing but my own guts instead of being smart about it. Time to get smarter.

    @TalentedToni : As Dr. Allen Berger mentions in his book "12 stupid things that mess up recovery" he says " Humility is the spiritual foundation of recovery" , if your last statement came from a high commitment than it is good, but if it came from your reliance on your own efforts than it is time to close this door and surrender, we need to accept that we don't have any power to control this behavior, it is all due to the grace of God ( the way we know him ) who is giving us the fruit of our efforts, we just need to stick with our boundaries and our self care and keep surrendering ourselves when urges are coming.

    I've usually relapsed after about 10 days as well. Last time though I reached 34 days before I relapsed. Something that really helped me that time was creating a journal and regularly updating it. Last time I failed after a week without updating, so this time I am updating it daily. Otherwise reflecting on what went wrong at last relapse. E.g. I discovered that alcohol is a big trigger for me, so this time I'm limiting my alcohol intake significantly. You can font great encouragement from the succes stories as well.

    Its getting hard these days. I just woke up at 2am and i'm finding it hard to sleep again. Looking at the iphone screen is making falling asleep even harder. But i'm having errotic thoughts and i'm finding myself rubbing against the mattress. I guesd ibhave to urge surf again and try mindfully falling asleep.

    I don't know if catching myself rubbing against the mattress is breaking the PMO pledge or not?

    I need to improve my attention and focus. I need to stretch my meditation duration.

    Well that escalated pretty quickly looooolz
    I tried to go to sleep only to flip over and fanasize more.

    I need to reset the counter. At least i'm not using my hands anymore. And i got to see day 12 on my iphone counter, which is one extra day from my previous streak.

    Streak 1: 11 days
    Streak 2: 12 days
    Streak 3: i'm aiming for 14 days so its 2 full weeks. I have to see the number 15 on my counter.

    This should prepare me for the June challenge.
