Ok So I Was On This No Social Media Challenge For Past 100 Days,When I Told people about this they were like "eh you mad buddy" "fuking freak" "weirdo" and all the crap but i tell you it was worth it and probably i will continue on it.

    Before This Challenge-
I Was spending like 5-6 hours of time browsing through instagram feed, facebook or twitter.I knew this was bad,i could use those 5-6 hours working on writing some programs or playing the piano or you socializing. So On 20 Feb I Decided That Like Nofap,I Will Do A No Social Media Challenge which could probably help me rewiring my brain. The endorphins released during browsing these are enormouse, they give us feeling that we are being close together, that we are getting to know them but this is not true. You cannot look into eyes of a person while texting to know if what they are saying the truth. So I Decided To Start.

    After-
1.First Let's Talk about the withdrawals.Yes.I Am Serious. There Were Withdrawals. They Consisted Of Urges To Download And Install instagram, check the goddamn fucking memes, laugh at them like a loser.Felt left out from my social circle as like every fucking group of friends these days everything happened on social media."Hey Did you check that shitty meme i posted or that pic alex posted" "No i didn't i m not using instagram these days" "why bro" "i am on a kind of challenge with myself...you know" "oh (starts laughing)"

2.I Realized that no a day of 24 hours was enough to perform all the tasks i wanted, i didn't knew that before xD.

3.Social Skills Boosted-After 20 days of this when i was finally getting used to it,i realized i was paying more attention to people. Not saying "text me later" instead asking them at that exact moment, paying attention to them, making the convo interesting.I Realized i could communicate without emojis or the fucking words like "LOL" "WTF" "LMAO"

4.I was much more appreciated in social scenarios like this one time i went to a family get together kinda thing,i am the eldest cousin in our family (age at nofap profile is fake). So while all the teens were clicking selfies, posting stories on instagram.I Was enjoying the family atmosphere, talking with my grand parents, recalling the funny incidents with family.

5.Oh I am on fire with "Girls".I had a really long relationship with this girl i used to,probably still, love with all my heart but she broke up with me saying that i was too complicated and introverted to handle, and the ketchup on the sandwich, she slept with someone else when i was out of country for 1 damn week.It broke me,it was where i got back to porn, masturbation, daily. But now i am back to my good conscious and trying the nofap challenge again and plus the no social media challenge has made my communication skills in life time so strong, that i find it really easy now to talk to not only with girls but with anyone.

This Challenge may sound dumb or senseless to some of you,but not me,i will make it one year and probably more.I have been using my time better than ever.Hopefully i will succeed in nofap too, good luck out there warriors.

Social media is not the problem. How we use it is the problem. Same goes for porn, masturbation, alcohol, drugs.

This however is a challenge many of us should try. Just give it 1 week and observe the outcome. I did it and although it didn't have a profound effect on my life, it did introduce positive changes like more focus and more drive. I also felt less pressure. Unfortunately I run 3 fanpages alongside my business and knowing what's happening in my area of interest on Facebook is rather important. I was missing out on certain things which would generate traffic through that 1 week of abstinence.

If you're going off Facebook but want to retain messenger, check out Messenger for Desktop. It's a Windows program which allows you to use Messenger without having to sit on that ghastly website.

  5. Well, i deleted all my social network a few weeks ago. It wasn't challenging/difficult. It felt like throwing away useless stuff i kept for no reason. I don't really have friends so i never used the Websites anyways. The only one that had me hesitating was my youtube account, mainly because it contained some videos uploaded by me in the past and all the likes/comments/subscriptions of 5+ years worth of browsing. Felt like throwing a away a part of me. No remorse though, it's for the best.

I gave up social media, YouTube, and the internet in general for 2 weeks, and I felt so much more peaceful for it. The urge to check my phone was strong the first few days, but it gradually subsided and I feel so much more at peace with myself and my social life. I don't text, snap, or instant message my friends as much, which made me think I was neglecting them a bit, but calling then on the phone or being there in person is so much more real. I still use the internet, but my 2 week challenge drastically reduced the amount of time I wasted online. Less scrolling through fb pages and mire doing real stuff.
