    Hey guys!

This is my first time doing anything like this, and even while writing this I don't feel very sure that I'll be able to make any progress with this addiction. I've been watching and masturbating to porn for almost a decade now, starting from before puberty. Reading some of the forum posts on here, I can identify with the depression, social anxiety, and overall lack of confidence, but I am so inspired by the success stories about how people have turned their lives around. I guess the reason I've registered is that this site seems like my best shot in breaking this habit that's been a part of my life for so many years. I'm not even sure what I'm getting myself into, but I bet a lot of new fapstronauts felt the same when they registered. I'm excited (if a little nervous) to see what this journey will bring, and I hope I can stick with it.

    Thanks for having me!

You're going to have some really tough days. Expect them but hang in there.

    Hi,

I think you can not only make progress you can beat it. It is a tough journey with ups and downs. It requires you wanting to change and to be willing to put in some hard work. But you can beat it. Just taking the time to sign up and post is a great sign.

    Welcome, brother Sanat!

It does sound like you're feeling the way others did when they joined! You've come to the right place!:) I've only been here for little over a month now and it's been nothing short of revolutionary!

I do recommend figuring out what (feelings, needs, twisted reasoning...) make YOU fap so darn much -- what are you're getting out of it -- and then I'd figure out healthier ways of being and getting needs met while rebooting. I guess I mean that JUST no-PMO, i.e. relying entirely on brain plasticity to make your life whole, seems a less promising strategy (to say the least), to me. It's what we do instead of PMO that counts too -- and why.

    Good luck, buddy!
