Day 15- promised to begin listing once I got a foothold of this problem. I attempted to quit a few months ago yet university stress led to a major relapse after my highest streak of 15 days. No need to rerun my past as I'm sure my experiences may be similar to that of yours

    Today: uncomfortable
Edged a few times yet had to snap out.
I know many of you count edging as falling but I would rather find to courage to realise my impulsive behaviour half way through an edge and cease the behaviour, rather than going into full MO. I find full MO is what really drains me and leads to faulty clouded thinkng. I do agree edging does hinder the recovery process and doesn't help rewire the neurological porn based pathways.

One step at a time though this has been an addiction that has looked over since an early age.

Would be great to hear your stories on how you all are getting on guys.

I agree that it is better to catch yourself and correct your behavior than go all the way through with it. It is important to be able to recognize your behavior and correct it, not just to work on preventing it from happening in the first place! Congrats on coming back to it. I'm brand new, and 15 days sounds like a good run to me!

Time, it is time for change. I don't consider edging a failure. I just consider it a means to feed dopamine addiction. Welcome back. Now, let's start at the the beginning.

    Install K9 NOW.

I'll be one year clean in a few days. The addiction cannot be fed, even a little, it has to be starved to death. That hurts, but is has to be done. I want to see you on this side of the fight. I have absolute confidence you can beat this. You are not a nubie anymore. So, come this side. And stay there. We have plenty of students, we need teachers. It is your time to teach. Get it in the game.

    Peace.

Thank you for the support guys.
The funny thing is I know all too well about the role of dopamine in reward and addiction ( I took a module on neutroransmittwrs and. Hormones as a part if my psychology degree at university ). However, putting my knowsge into practice 24 hours a day is my sticking point.

By the way, for all you guys who have smartphones, I have found a great app called "Brainbuddy". It is specified for porn addiction and gives you many activities that will promote your absitence. It calculates the days you've been porn free, sets you increasingly more challenge abstinence goals and also provides many activities which will aid in snapping you out of the habit. I definately recommend checking it out as my NoFap streaks have become stronger since using this nifty little app.

Day 16- no real urges. Slightly lethargic ( although that's due to a cold).

I hope you feel better Man! At least that's a detractor from the PMO urge. :D

Day 17- resisted impulsive urges to even edge... Yet led me to feel uneasy and moody all day.

Day 20- my university graduation day. Realised more confidence in me when socialising. No rumination and more focused on conversations. Overall less fluctuations in my mood before the last 20 days.

    Day 24- hardest day yet
Urges to edge really challenging my willpower. Got through via naps and spending time with family. Feel like the worst of this challenge is yet to come

Day 25- caved in. Really disappointed as this is my longest streak yet and genuinely felt differences in energy and confidence
