I may watch My Hero Academia. I stumbled across an Abridged version of it and now I'm curious.

-Akime Ga Kill. Damn. That's all I have to say on that. (Bunch of super assassins dealing with the fallout of a crumbling empire.)
-Angel Beats. Rebellious teens in the afterlife (I really recommend watching in Japanese with subtitles as the english voice acting is crap.)
-Case Closed. I haven't seen it in many years and never finished the series. Though the initial plot point may be ludicrous I recall having fun trying to figure out the mysteries in each episode.
-Seven Deadly Sins. I'm still on the fence with this one. After a kingdom comes under a coup, a princess goes in search of the seven warriors who possess incredible powers to try to convince them to help her save her kingdom. Lots of humor (including "adult" humor), fair amount of bloody violence, and over the top characters. I think it's currently exclusive to netflix.

Not sure if I should include this one, but Kill la Kill. The (mostly censored) nudity and adult humor are too pervasive for my tastes, but aside from that it's one of my favorite anime. School uniforms that transform for combat, a giant scissor blade as the hero's weapon, a megalomaniacal high school girl as the antagonist, a transforming school, very over the top.

Spirited Away is a good anime movie. A girl finds herself among spirits after getting separated from her parents and has to figure out how to get back to the human world. To complicate things, she unwittingly ends up stuck in the service of one particular spirit.

I'm considering reading SAO: Progressive. It's supposed to cover the entire two years that they were trapped in the game.

I think I've become a fan of author Scott Lynch. I've read his book Red Seas Under Red Skies (before learning that it's the second in a series called the Gentleman Bastard sequence.) A couple of master thieves who want to rob an impossible to rob casino have run-ins with a military dictator, powerful psychics, assassins, and yaargh, pirates. It's a fun read.

I'm a fan of Brent Weeks. The Night Angel Trilogy - Super assassins, ancient magical artifacts, an evil empire, and matters of mortality. There's also the Lightbringer series. Four books out so far, fifth is expected to be the last but that's not certain yet (fourth was supposed to be the finale before the author changed his mind). Overpowered magic guy has to try to bring balance to the world when he can barely keep his own personal affairs in order. Politics, intrigue, action, major plot twists, lots of good stuff.

yes, but not as good as the one i recommended :D

"kafka on the shore" is also another awesome book of him, probably even my favorite

    -also "the wind-up bird chronicle"

for "starters" of reading his books the best one is probably "hard-boiled wonderland and the end of the world". the writing style and how he builds up his stories is very straight forward in this book. in the following books you can see him using those elements aswell.

  13. Dragonball Super gets my vote! ;) The fight scenes are pretty awesome there is a huge following on social media. No way is Anime lame and embarrassing the Animation is right up there with the best, even western studios have adopted and copied it! One punch man and attack on titan are on my watch list they seem pretty good. There are so many animes out there im sure you will find a good one.

And im reading A Life in Parts - Bryan Cranston

I watch some anime as well. But just any recent one that pops up.
Currently I am reading Resurrection by Tolstoy, the last book he wrote. I study Russian Lit as my minor so yes I am in love with that genre. But they are absolutely perfect in terms of plot and character development.
