One big HI to all members of this community...

I'm a new member and this is my first post.
In a few lines, I'm a 28 years old male student.
30 days ago I begun my challenge, and now I am joining this forum to get some informations and support.

I will tell my "story so far" on another occasion in this thread.
    Bye for now.

OK, now I'm going to try and tell my story so far...

I'm a porn user (and a porn addict as it turns out...) for a long time now. Don't know exactly how long, but probably for at least 15 years now. It never really crossed my mind that PMO was bad or damaging me. It was a daily routine and I enjoyed it very much.

But lately I began to question myself and my life choices.

This is me around new year eve 2014:
I am a 28 year old student. I am trying to graduate my college for the last 10 years (5 years is the normal duration). I am at least 50 pounds overweight. I am very passive with my life. I almost entirely quit dating and partying and going out. I procrastinate everyday watching bullshit on the Internet. I consume gratuitous amounts of entertainment content. I play video games, watch many many tv shows and movies, I read comic books and novels. Entertainment media is my second addiction as it turns out...and yes I consume a lot of caffeine drinks.

I was a BIG mess back there, but finally around new year 2014 a spark hit my brain.
I decided to see why I was all those things that I described. Google showed me various topics, but a NOFAP community caught my eye (Biggest thank you goes to Mark Q. and his SacredSexualityProject youtube profile).

I understood immediately that I need to change NOW, and I need to CHANGE big time!

For the last 6 months I have read many many posts, articles and even books on this subject.
I tried my nofap challenge on a few occasions but every time failed. I really couldn't seriously see myself to not PMO.

Let us now fast forward to the middle of the May 2014.
I made some progress. I diminished my entertainment media consumption greatly and I found so much more free time. I began a rigorous 90 day full body training program that I'm still doing. I lost some weight. I began to study for my exams. I began to study for my other "passions" like programming or creative writing.

In general sense, I see that I am making some pretty big progress. I made more in the last few months than in the last 3 years combined. And I am happy about it.
But there is this last problem. My PMO challenge!

Even after doing so much work in last few months, I can't go without PMO for more than 4-5 days. My record was 25 days but that was only once.

And this is my main reason on trying to join this community. Two days ago I joined this forum and unfortunately set my PMO counter to 0 (for the last time :). I will try this time for good to get rid of this addiction.

This is enough for the beginning of my journey on nofap.org. Big thanks to all you guys. I hope that we will have a good time here.:cool:

I just wanted to post a quick update.
My first week of NOFAP has passed by pretty quickly. I must say that I feel pretty confident about doing my 90 days this time. I don't know why, but for the last 7 days I didn't had any especially big and hard urges.

I will post another quick update on completing Week 2.

    Hi to all fellow members...

Week No.2 is checked. 14 days have passed and I'm going strong! :D
But I must say that urges have escalated fast.

On week1 I didn't even think about PMO. But around Day10 I found myself in a real struggle.
One night I almost succumbed to the temptations. The fight was hard and I was on the loosing side. :(

But I did find a great amount of inspirational stories in this community, and my determination to do this challenge is greater than ever before. And btw... In the last 2 weeks I lost 11 pounds with my training program, so I have that going for me, which is nice. :D :D

    That's it for now,
See you all on my week3 résumé.

Wow man my story is nearly identical. I am 23, I started PMO at age 9 [14 years] and I was overweight by 65 lbs. I dropped from 250 lbs to 184 lbs last year. I currently sit at 188 but I have about a +/- 5 lb daily weight range. I also consume massive amounts of media. I have watched thousands of hours of shows/movies and played thousands of hours of games, one game in particular I have "1100 days played" Which is measured by the amount of time spent online in that specific game. [not in the lobby] That's literally 3 years worth of life wasted on a single game!

All the other stuff is exactly the same too, procrastination ect. I'm glad you've come here!

    Best of luck!
