It can't get simpler than this. You watch porn and get erections. When the porn you watch does no longer make you hard, you switch to more extreme, kinkier porn. After some time when its not kinky enough, you switch to something more extreme. And this goes on and on. Now my porn champion, you plan to make-out with a real girl and she doesn't turn you ON. Does it matter that you can keep it up for an hour while watching your favorite porn fetish. Or do you plan to watch that porn while you make out with that girl. That way you will also let her know what you really like. What an amazing session it must be for her when she has a feeling that you must have that same extreme fetish planned for her as well. Have fun ;)

The Prause studies are hotly contested. There are documented peer reviews discussing how Prause disagrees with the data. I'm not a scholarly researcher. Maybe Prause is right. But there are over 30 studies that disagree.

    Here is one resource:

    LEGIT ^^^

"Research Scientists"=Old men in labs who are completely out of touch with the younger generation and of real world experiences.

Not all questions can be answered with science. This forum is proof of that.

There are literally millions of young men out there who can't get it up for a real life, smokin' hot girl because they've watched too much porn. We're talking 18 & 19 year old guys here who should be walking around with raging hardons. I even know a guy myself who after banging his girlfriend, proceeds to go to the bathroom and jerk off because he doesn't feel satisfied from actual sex.

    Porn fucks people up.

It's abused and misused, like most substances that make you feel great when you're using them...

  4. Wait for few more days then they will release a new scientific study that eating our own poop is good for health

Since i have experience 20+ years on this topic, i claim to be an expert when it comes to pmo and its consequence. I have done my own scientific study the last 20 years. It shows different results than this "new" study.

A woman wrote the previous study. But I don't think that has anything to do with it; I pointed out the flaws of the study in my previous post.

  7. I think porn is a lot like alcohol in the fact there are those who can drink responsibly and those which have a real bad time with it. The main difference between porn and alcohol is the production of alcohol is not linked to human trafficking , neither are people forced, coerced or groomed to make alcohol. In my opinion the problem with pornography reaches far beyond the question of whether it's addictive or not. My wish is that others respect our own choices for abstaining from it i don't think any of us decided to stop because we just had a 'bad day' it's more to do with an accumulation of negative outcomes for which pornography played a pivotal role.

Probably best to ignore these "finding" and do what is right for us. This is a subject that is probably still ahead of the curve, time will catch up and you will see more news and Oprah-like talk shows about this in the next 10 years. As I said in an earlier post, there are likely many more who haven't found us yet. I would bet on it, but I could be wrong lol. By then, people will have moved on to virtual sex dolls and instagram photos. Half-joking here.

    I don't think that's a fair statement. Here's why I think it's important to declare this:

There are numerous holes in the Prause studies. It was poorly conducted and generally does not pass peer review. What we don't need is for Prause to be able to defend her work by claiming all the nay-sayers are just Sexist.

In the sense of how a heroine addict enjoys stinging needles in his arm...

we are fapstronaut brothers, i respect your oppinion. Just for my case, I did it because i did hope / expect it would give me some relief from emotional pain, depression, anxiety, boredom... instead it brought even more emotional pain and severe physical illness. Edit: you are right somehow... the first 1 - 2 years it was kind of fun, before it turned into a sick addiction.

Who sponsored this study? It could be funded by the extremely wealthy internet porn industry.
