My name's Kenny and as you can see I signed up for this site years back but it's only now that I'm fully dedicating my time and effort to eradicating this evil addiction from my life.

One thing I struggle seriously with is willpower and after multiple attempts at non PMO I've realized I've never made it past 2 days. So at this point a porn blocker is a must. I'd appreciate if someone would recommend a great FREE porn blocker they use preferably one where you could add the websites yourself because the one I tried before blocked everything even regular sites and it was hell getting rid of it. (K9 Protection) I love this site and how it looks out for this invisible group of people who have problems that aren't even recognized by medicine. A good porn blocker along with a journal and this site will help me beat this once and for all I'm looking forward to doing this with you guys.

OpenDNS is a network filter instead of a blocker. It's lightweight, so if you want to you can get around it without a lot of trouble, but if you just want something simple and configurable, and free it can work. I recommend you configure your router to it so that all your devices (at least when you are home) will comply.

K9 is a free blocker for your PC, it works well with mac. You could set specific websites on K9 as well, you gotta tinker through the settings, there is an exception option there, It did that on my laptop as well, blocked every site that contains even a suspicious word, but I edited the settings, and please make sure you don't have the password with you. Give it to someone you trust, and also, if you really are serious with rebooting, you will be willing to make compromises, meaning you gotta stop going to sites which you deem safe but has caused you to relapse before. Hope this helps :)

Ok so I found a great one. It's called Adult Blocker its a Google Chrome extension. It blocks very thoroughly and has an option of a whitelist for the sites it gets wrong. That's what I've been using.

Sorry but I do. You have no idea the hell I've been through trying to beat this and at this moment I don't have enough willpower to not have a porn blocker. I came to that conclusion.

@KennyX93 try to stop internet at your home for a while, the long duration as you can, I did it before for 6 months, it helped me a lot.

@KennyX93 Hi there. There's a good free Chrome blocker (an extension) called Block Site by Wips. I use the Premium version which is $4.99. It blocks by website URL and keywords. You can white list as well. I was using the free version then trying to get round it. The paid one (not expensive) has a password that you need to use to get round it and I've got rid of it.

I use K9 which is free and works well. You need a password to over-ride it.

I disagree with those who say you just need 'will-power.' The whole psychology of addiction is based on the understanding that will power is not enough, and you need to use techniques to bypass deeply ingrained habits.

One of the techniques is to sit with the craving till it disappears, and the delay in finding a complex password which you have written on a piece of paper which is on top of a bookshelf etc etc might be the delay you need.

I suggest you keep the password written down though because sometimes the block will block non-P sites that you are trying to access. With K9, you can put such sites on the whitelist.
