I am at day 200 and still have major insomnia. I sleep 4-5 hours per night.

I tried a benzo and Seroquel 25 mg to sleep longer. Nothing helps. I wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall asleep again.

I walk around like a zombie. Extreme lightheadedness, dizziness, pressure in head. I am never really tired nor really awake.

I work out and go running but though I am fatigued I am never really tired or sleepy.

I am afraid sleeping so little for so long can cause other health problems. Is it dangerous or will the body tolerate it and take the sleep it needs?

Me too, I have the same issue like you, but for me it takes me 1 hour or 2 to sleep. I think that you need to do research about insomnia and try all the solutions, but of none of them work, then you should see a doctor.

You might have mania, for me 300mg of valproic acid calms me down. You might also have benzo addiction. For severe insomnia olanzapine/trazodone is the best, but you need prescription and a good psychiatrist. Olanzapine gives weight and/or impotence and trazodone gives priapism. If you don't like meds try not to sleep, but be aware that psychosis might appear.

No. I took it 6 months ago for maximum 2 weeks.

I don't think a have a mania either. I have extreme lightheadedness, brain fog, head pressure, dizzines, inability to concentrate, depression. nausea - and the insomnia. It looks like a flatline / PAWS to me. My question is if it is OK for the body to go for such long periods with so little sleep (4-5 hours/night)? Will any damage be done to heart or other the body in general?

Sounds like maybe a nutritional deficiency.

4-5 hour is still ok for the body, but if you feel depressed trazodone might work for you. Even if you don't sleep at all your brain will shutdown, but you won't notice.

I don't know. Calcium is OK. I will have to look if magnesium, iron have been checked... But a ton of other blood parameters has been checked and everything was OK.

My diet is perfect. I eat lots of fruit, vegetables, high quality juices, nuts. Green tea, nettle tea, chamomile tea...No fast food at all in the last 6 months. No alcohol for 5 months. Just a beer or two per week now. No caffeine. Not a vegetarian. At the moment I don't really care where the insomnia comes from. Never had it in my life before. I think it is flatline and will have to tough it out. Was just worried it might damage heart or the body in general if I sleep only 4-5 hours.

I don't want to try SSRI since they affect the sexual functioning. And since my brain is fucked up after 12 years of porn use, I'd rather try Wellbutrin.

At 27 years testosterone level are very high so it is perfectly normal to have erotic needs. Porn affects only the climax by delaying it or surpresing. Even you have used porn for 12 years after 90 day of abstinence you are good as new. I'm not a fan of bupoprion(Wellbutrin) and trazodone isn't quite a typical SSRI, here in Europe it is prescribed quite often for depression associated with with insomnia. I hope that you will find a good psychiatrist who will prescribe this medicine and you will take it. A good psychiatrist will change your treatment if something goes wrong. Best wishes!

Trazodone - like any SSRI - can cause sexual dysfunction which lasts for a long time. It does not have to, but it may happen (look up: PSSD). I don't think it is very smart to take an SSRI since my brain is altered through years of porn abuse. That is why I would try Wellbutrin, which does not cause sexual dysfunction or at least not that often. But it is not only depression. It is extreme lightheadedness, brain fog, fatigue, concentration and memory problems i.e. all things that are associated with drug withdrawal.

It has nothing to do with testosterone. At the moment I don't have any erotic needs really. I rather feel asexual.

The shift from an extreme to another is a problem.

You mean going from masturbation every day to no masturbation at all? I don't feel any sexual arousal anymore. Why should I force an erection and masturbate? Or do you suggest watching less porn? Please do the research first and read the articles on porn addiction on www.yourbrainonporn.com *SMH*

When you masturbate often and suddenly you shift your perception this is indicating a deeper problem. I wish I could have more time to study your problem.

What fucking perception? You know what withdrawal symptoms are? Like beeing irritable and shaking just because you have not PMOd for 2 days? It has nothing to do with perception. I had those physical symptoms because i had to study and no time for Masturbation. This is when i realized it is an addiction.

    Please stop trolling.

I helped my sleeping issues by doing mindfulness meditation. Specifically, I used the calm app which has a sleeping 7-day course (you have to pay to get the sleeping course) which helped me and I sleep quite well normally. The calm app has a free section but it is limited. I strongly suggest that you invest in it as I have not only improved my sleep but my overall temper. I react less to things and am more chilled. You might be able to find sleeping body scans for free online though that you can try. I hope that helps if you have any questions feel free to ask.
