Pretty stupid question, yes. If it's not equally consensual sex with another person, it hurts your ability to interact in healthy sexual relations. Healthy sex is a social act. With an escort, you would simply replace Pornhub with another person as a toy for your personal pleasure. Think about it--your addiction to porn is caused by the dopamine you're conditioning your brain with. If porn makes my dopamine spike, what do you think will happen to my dopamine levels when a hot woman in the flesh is going to town on me? And not only that--but now I'm on my way from being addicted to something that was 100% free to something that costs me a few hundred $$$ each time.

I think what some of us here are worried about is that use of prostitutes is arguably a "harder drug" than porn, as it can be highly addictive and carries some more extreme risks.

Both are secretive unhealthy ways to act out sexually. The addiction that includes escorts will certainly be discovered when the low bank account and unpaid bills can no longer be explained away.

Paid sex is worse than porn, not only because of the greater risk, but also because you're now hurting another human being just to get your fix. Who cares if escorts say they're "happy" or "like what they do". The simple reality is no woman in her right mind would choose prostitution as a desired career path. Most escorts are drug addicts, sex slaves, or single parents doing what they can to survive in a system that shits on parents and even more so on single parents.

The reality is none of these women really want to fuck you for cash.
