I used to watch hentai everyday. When I tried nofap at first, I watched an anime( I will not write its name here and will not give much details about its plot) as a transition suposedly. The beginning was quite interesting. It basically consisted of a zombie apocalypse. Eventually, certain things were shown and it ended up as a softcore p. Since the story was quite interesting, I kept watching until I wanted to desperately look at the true hentai and there I was resetting my counter. Now that I think of it, the storyline are quite weird. Hentai shows incest, rape, women suffering and kidnapping. I cannot understand how those got me to fap. I wanted to give my experience on hentai and present opinion, that's why I wrote all this. To answer your question, I believe that hentai is the same, if not more( because of the weirdness present) as any hardcore p.

 

I used to like anime and I never liked fan service, but I put up with it if the show was good enough.

Now though. I just...can't. I can't even take the voices anymore. The overwhelming vibe of pedophilia is just too strong. I tried so many times to start a new serirs that looked promising. Every time it had some kind of fan service, some female character screaming "hentai!" at all the male characters because they looked at them funny. Ugh. I just cant stand it anymore. The only anime I'll watch now are series like Monster.

 

I understand whayt you guys are saying, and it's totally justified, but not all anime is like that. There are lots of hentai series and all sorts of messed up anime, but please, there are many others that aren't. Some incredible (and highly addictive) anime series include "Fullmetal Alchemist", "Attack on Titan", "Blue Exorcist", and also the obvious Dragonball saga. Seriously. One bad apple DOES NOT spoil the bunch. Just try them.

I watch anime frequently, but I never really caught on to Hentai. I will admit, some series of anime I have watched have featured a LOT of fanservice and some even slight nudity, but I know what is and isn't Hentai, and people shouldn't group every anime with it as Hentai.

I don't recall getting off on Hentai to be honest, but that's because I'm not into fanservice really.

 

Hentai is probably worse than porn in some ways. At least with porn it's a bit more realistic because the actors are real. With hentai you can go beyond what normal actors can do, making it way more hardcore possibly

It's true that you have to be careful with anime though. Some of them can be very provocative and it's better to stay away from that while rebooting, just like other semi-erotic content that you find all over the internet.

Roddy is completely, absolutely, 100% correct. Not all anime is hentai. A good deal of anime doesn't even have fanservice or nudity, no matter how slight.

 

Well we cant hide the fact that it's P or that no one gets hurt. The latter is one of Hentai's major problems, NO ONE GETS HURT, meaning that the people in those videos/manga can do all sorts of awful things to each other! The way I see it, the more P we watch the more hardcore it gets. This is definitely a path of mental self destruction. You eventually see things that a few months ago would have made you gag.

 

I agree not all anime is hentai, of course. Still though, I would venture to say 90% of anime has fan service. Really though I just got sick of the unoriginality. The MAJORITY of anime is about a person in high school with special powers, or some slight variant of that. LOL. I got sick of the weird sexual tension themes where men are constantly called perverts and then proceed to get punched by the girls. And I just can't help but cringe at the borderline pedophiliac characters. I.e. all the loli stuff. Just makes me shutter. There are gems to find though. And if I find a new series I'm not opposed to watching it.

Additionaly, hentai and other animated products EXAGERATE natural triggers to a maximum. The primal brain where these mechanisms are locate do not have any filtering system according to actual recognition. They fire as soon as certain specifics of a trigger are recognized. The stronger the trigger, the more intense the reaction. (That's acually why hentai "works")

 

You are right - it is an attempt to raise awareness and to stop others rationalising. P is P whether it is professional, amateur, written, animated, printed or incorrectly labelled as "safe, harmless fun".
