    CHALLANGE

For every day a month, post what you exercised/workout out on this day.

Try to exercise/workout every day, 7 times a week.

It does not have to be much, even 5 minutes every day will help to develop a healthy habit!

Even little exercise brings insane health-benefits with it. If you keep your habit up, you'll also want more - I can guarantee that!

Even a single minute counts - tremendous amount of research backs it up!

    Today:

Leg day (ugh) - Squats / bulgarian split squats / jump lunges / leg extensions / leg curls

Followed by a 5k jog which took me about 30 min. because my legs were jello at that point. I went for some tacos afterward, and when I tried to get out of my truck, my quads started to cramp up!

I'm gonna be sore for a few days, that's for sure.

Just got out of a good arm/abs workout. EZ bar curls / Tricep pushdowns / concentration curls / skullcrushers / bicep machine; followed by an ab circuit.

I love doing arms, I get that pump and look like a beast for about an hour. :)

Today I actually wanted to go to the gym, but stayed at home because I went yesterday.

I workout out today for 5-10 minutes, working on my biceps with dumbbells. Not much, but everything counts!

    What are your goals, @LoyalKnight?

That seems so strange to me. If you wanted to go, why not just go? What does yesterday have to do with it? Not trying to get on your case--just curious about the rationale.

bodybuilders have at least day off between going to gym, because the muscles must rebuild. Of course if you train hard, then I think it's OK, but when you feel the power, I'd go even everyday, even to do smaller excercises. Wasted time never come back.

Bodybuilders rarely do full-body workouts in a single day. For instance, they do chest one day, and then back the next day, and then legs the day after that ... they're still going into the gym every day, but since they're not working that specific muscle group each day, it has proper time to rest and rebuild.

If you're curious, I highly highly recommend the book Bigger Leaner Stronger by Michael Matthews. It's like the bodybuilding bible for me. I was at a plateau of 170 lbs. for most of my adult life--never really gaining or losing much weight, and never gaining or losing much strength. It seemed like nothing I did really made much difference.

I started reading that book and applied its philosophy on training. Within 30 days, I had made considerable gains in most of my lifts and had gained a few lbs. That sold me.

Anyway, even if you don't get that particular book, pick up a Muscle & Fitness magazine, or a Men's Health magazine in the grocery store, and just flip through it--you'll see where they highlight some particular bodybuilder, and he'll explain his training routine. It's almost always "well on Day 1, I do chest, and on Day 2, I do legs, and then on Day 3 ... "

Thanks, but still you have 7 days in a week, so you don't have to do everything 3 days in a row. I was at the gym when I was a bit younger. I never, ever went there 2 days in a row. It's pointless, you can do chest workout or arms workout, on the next day you'd feel pain and it need at least 1 day to go away. I mean that if you train good, 2 hours straight pumping iron and shit. Not just walking in and out :p

Suit yourself. It really depends on what your goals are. If an actual bodybuilder told me he never trained two days in a row, I'd be stunned. I've never heard of a single bodybuilder living by that philosophy.

That's why you do other stuff on the intervening days while your sore muscles recover.

No wonder you never trained 2 days in a row. Who wants to spend two hours in the gym every day? I lift 5 days a week, and I'm in there for one hour. No more, no less.

Anyway ... that's why I asked @LoyalKnight what his goals were. If he's just looking to get more fit, then my advice would be different than if he's trying to get on the cover of Men's Health.

I'm training now everyday, but not going to gym. I was training at least 2 hours, back then, so maybe that's why I went only 3 times per week. I was too tired to go more often . And I was in pretty good shape, I was doing bench press with 160lbs which was my weight and could go even further. Anyway thanks for sharing, I just think your workouts are a bit too easy if you still have power to go everyday

That's freaking insane. And definitely encourages me to think bigger in terms of what I'm capable of.

No time for the gym today either. It did not stop me from working out though.

I did some dumbbell back and shoulder workouts today at home.

You should! I don't live in a big city so I don't have gym near me, but I would go to one!

Today was a chest day for me:

Incline bench / Incline bench with dumbbells / flat bench / weighted dips / burn out with pushups

Today I forced myself to visit the gym. I have to admit that it was like a torture. I had to force myself through every single exercise. I cannot remember the last time when the gym became so unenjoyable. 2 months ago? 4 months ago? Perhaps even more. This is my darkest hour!

I had to use light weights, and even there I struggled. I know I could have done more - but my motivation and willpower was -1000000000% in the gym, no joke. What I did:

100kg squats, 120kg deadlifts, 130kg calf raises, and just 15kg 3d cable crossover (from athlean-x!). Then already 70 minutes were over, and I left.

Damn, when was the last time that I enjoyed the gym so less? I can't recall. I will remember this, and this is another reason why PMO destroys me entirely as a person, PMO eats me up!

Do you drink any alcohol? in old school days we have permanent ban on alcohol, because it fuck up your muscles. one beer can ruin your week of training. I know kids nowadays would go like: but I have gains even on beer. Yes you will have, but it would be like you've mentioned, a torture?

I never drank alcohol in my whole life. It was only like a torture because I had no interest in workout out whatsoever - I simply did not want it. I forced myself through it, though.

Do you know why I felt that bad? Because of my recent relaspes - I PMO'd 3 times in the last 1-2 weeks, which is more than enough to destroy me.

the whole PMO is upside down. it should be OMP , because orgasm is the thing that take most energy, then is masturbation, which is bad, but is better than MO. and there is porn, which is addictive , but not as bad as masturbation. So firstly there should be focus on quitting ejaculating, and after that quiting porn. If I could compare it to something. Let's say alcoholism. You drink a lot of beer at the nightclub. So the beer is bad for you, you want to quit, but your friends invited you to club. So you either way decide to go and not drink or not go at all. The option no2 is better, but harder. You deny friendship, you try to organise your time usually fulfilled by picking up hot girls etc. You may end up alone in home at midnight watching porn and eventually drinking some beer alone. So the easy option is better. you go with friends but focus on not drinking. Eventually you'd get bored by going there.
IMO same is with porn. You are bored so you watch some hot girls on let's say youtube, you got a boner, and you have to decide quit using internet or watch something but not masturbate. If you quit internet, you may end up being too frustrated. So my point is go OMP , that's the way of slow progress but you know what to focus on. I am basically at the stage when I sometimes watch porn but I don't masturbate. That's the key. You give your brain what he wants but not too much and after some time he just get bored. So you push the border a bit further. If you go the PMO way you would relapse more frequently because you're scared of seeing hot girls and it's not what you should be scared of, you shouldn't be scared of having boner, you should be scared of taking "buisness" in your own hands ;) in normal life you wouldn't, your wife would do that for you.
sorry for long mesage, I hope at least it will help you

Sorry, but you have to change your mindset. Porn without M or O is edging constantly - and that's even worse than PMO because you build up the dopamine momentum all the time and don't release it... You have to stop, you're also the first one I heard of doing such a "strategy".
