What do you guys think about hentai??

This is just insane. How is it that western media portrays anime like this? I cannot believe the number of people on this thread who are talking about either most or all anime being hentai or containing sexuality. Is it so hard to get it through your heads that this just isn't the case? 1/20 of anime is slice of life, the broad genre in which school takes place. This is where we find the hentai. Seriously. Saying most anime is hentai is the thoughtful equivalent of saying most western television is zombies or gun-slinging Southerners. That's just not the case.

 

Dear Suyash, I was almost an addict to hentai porn, everytime I tried to say to myself "today I don' t want to fap to hentai" I ended up doing it and feeling ashamed after. I arrived at a point where sometimes I fapped 3-5 times a day when I was alone at home(adding that I fapped to really weird stuff), without doing something that I planned to do, so procastinating. I had a folder full of hentai pics that I eliminated just 3 days ago, and after that I felt free for the first time of my life. I almost forgot how real girls were, those 2d drawings just drained my sense of reality about girls, forgetting how real girls in front of my eyes are much better than some digital cartoon (hentai) or pixellated girl (porn). So yeah, hentai can be quite bad for you and your self-esteem.
Now the only manga that I read now is "Jojo' s bizzare adventures", in my opinion a masterpiece without any fanservice or disgusting perversions, it also motivates me to become a better man.

Actually most anime that are made now contain a lot of fanservice,, but we are talking about hentai, it' s obvious that normal anime is usually fine. (if it doesn' t contain fanservice)

 

Remember, you are talking to a bunch of P addicts, Orion, not anime connoisseurs. So for many here this IS their experience.

And I don't think people are saying most anime is hentai. They are saying that whilst there is a distinction between the two, many find that the non-hentai they view still contains TRIGGERS. This is not a criticism. This is just P addicts talking about what affects them and discussing, as a group, why not exploring and watching anime is a good thing if you wish to avoid triggers.

Thank you, perusan. I'm sorry for how I acted. It's not as hard for me, not PMO-ing, as I'm only 13, and so haven't developed a full-blown addiction. I realize how much you've all been through, and I am sorry.

 

It's even worse than RL porn i mean both are a fake and dull way of obtaining body pleasure but hentai is more unrealistic and more anti-natural

 

The anime industry as a whole is falling at a very fast rate. Many of the series aired in Japan and some western countries are fan-service filled and their lack of plot or real story.
As an interesting fact, Japan is suffering from a demographic crisis and their birth rate is near zero.
Japanese society has been for a long time a porn friendly people to the point that many of them are unable to consider such things disgusting

 

We may also mention the high rate of rapes on trains, there are really pervs that harass sexually girls. When I heard it I was shocked.

Interesting topic, I could never get "high" off of hentai. Not that I gave it many tries, though. I agree with Saserman, it's probably worse for your mind, it's even more fictional. I hope these kind of posts don't trigger you guys to do something stupid.

 

The longer you watch hentai the more you watch and the more disturbing it gets. It's my opinion that hentai has to be one of the worst types of porn out there because it easily and drastically warps your mind and really perverts you. I know from experience how extremely negative hentai is for your mind and how hard it is to quit. I was addicted to hentai for almost fifteen years and its been about a year since I stopped and although I still occasionally think about it, I don't feel a compulsive need for it anymore. I feel like a completely different and better person mentally and emotionally, hentai really screws up your personality and your view of life, and one of the things I had to do to quit it was completely stop watching anything animated and stop playing video games. Those were the biggest triggers and why I had failed at quitting hentai for so long. Looking back at the type of hentai I was watching at the end before I stopped now completely disgusts me and makes it easier for me to restrain myself from watching it because I know if I watch hentai again, it will eventually lead back to that really sick stuff.
