Thanks for It.. I am definitely IN..

Previously stopped for weeks probably 4 weeks in some instances without any help but for some reason relapsed. Specially in night time probably I got too much free time in night. Suggest any activities please ? Not daily PM but twice a week is my average I would say.

But this 90 days should be aim from NOW!!!

    Wazzup bros!
I had a damn challenging night, but made it thru it clean.
Has anyone tried rebooting before? Are the first days the hardest?

I just found an old book that gives some techniques about how to modify exhausting thoughts,
I think it may be useful for this battle we're into, I translate and share it with y'all:

    > Technique for stoping emotions or exhausting thoughts.

The procedure is simple, although it requires discipline and a minimum of energy available. The key is in taking control of thoughts, which are prerequisite for the exhausting emotions/thoughts to be produced. The best way to achieve the goal is to stop inner dialogue; but for the case of those who doesn't count with the necessary practice and/or energy to carry out, there's a way that refers to the modification of inner dialogue.

    > SUBSTITUTE EXHAUSTING/NEGATIVE/UNDESIRED THOUGHTS IN ANY OF THIS FORMS:
    - Try to make a literary rhyme with those thoughts
    - Make a song with your thoughts.
    - Think them in reverse.
    - Think them in a language that is absolutely not familiar.
    - Think them assigning each letter a number and adding those letters and words to find the numeric result of your thoughts.
    - Go over times table.
    - Repeat a prayer from a religion that is not yours.
    - Think of your thoughts trying to imitate the modes of some TV or movies comedian.
    - Create your own variatons.

    Have a great weekend!!
    One day at a time!!
    Be strong!!

I would guess most of us are on day 3 or 4. I'm a little impatient as I'm already ready for a flat line. I'm hoping to do this hard mode. Which being married makes it hard but she's not interested anyway so not sure why I care. I'm just tired of the urges. Having you guys helps out. Keep it up.

Day 2 drawing to a close. I've noticed that the first days are both the easiest and the hardest. They seem to be easy because urges aren't super strong. The problem with later days is that as time goes by you tend to forget the horrible feeling of relapsing.

  10. Im down...i wanna join this NoFap 90 day challenge too...

Im in the same situation bro. I guess this would be Day 2 for me but i literraly made this account 30 mins ago since i was watching youtube videos and other stuff as well. I relapsed a couple days ago but im determine to actually do this shit right

I would agree with teejay. Surfing youtubes is probably not a good idea.

We have a hole in our lives and we are trying to fill it with PMO or MO. Whatever the case may be. It's the same for any other addict. Whether it's drugs, alcohol, or even food; we are going to the easiest source for relief. Like it was said earlier, it will be hard to retrain your mind. We need to find our grit again and man up and take this on. Beat it. Don't be a slave to this crap anymore. When you fail, learn from it. Heck I fail, but I'm trying to figure out what I need to do so that I don't put myself in that situation again. If you mess up, restart your counter and move on. I will not say it's ok because it's not. You all are here for a reason. You don't want to be a slave to P or M anymore. I want the same thing and to know what it's like to be with my wife without those things.

Be strong my brothers. Iron sharpens iron. We are in the furnace to be made new. Man up and go.

Be blessed and have a great day.

  16. Well sadly it looks like I fell this 90 day challenge around the 3 day mark but I won't give up.

I looked up an article of how the mind goes into autopilot with the daily routines of life that are constant and consistent. "Awareness" is the key here to avoid being in that "Autopilot" mode. Will work it and keep me in your thoughts. Have a long road ahead of me.

Don't just be aware. Be CURIOUSLY AWARE.
Question and ponder over your changes; physically, mentally and emotionally.
If the urges are too strong, ask yourself this question, "How can I watch P, when I can watch 'Band of Brothers' ?"

    Humor is great Medicine.

Failures are chances to learn and do better.

To the group as a whole. What is your "why"? Your answer will be different than anyone else. Why? Why do you work? Why do you eat the foods that you do? Why do you work out? Why are you here, in this group? The answer should be more than "I ........". Once we remove self, the game changes. It's no longer about us. It's about our families, friends, others in need. One of my why's is my wife. She needs the best husband she can get. And so far I'm not that guy. If you had a daughter, would you let her date someone like you. Umm, no. So, it's time to change.

    We can do this.
