Watch it with other people. If it won't trigger you. I wouldn't suggest watching it alone.

  3. There's no "yes or no" answer to whether something is a P-sub. Do you watch it for the explicit content? Do you find yourself thinking of porn when you watch it? Do you find yourself getting off to it or anything like that? If you answered yes to any of those, then it's a P-sub. You could be watching fucking scooby doo and if you answered yes to any of those questions it'd be a P-sub. It's not the nudity content or how sexual a show is that determines whether or not it's a P-sub.

Personally for me GoT isn't a P-sub at all. I don't have any desire to jerk off or watch porn just because I see a sex scene or some nudity in a show or movie. I don't tend to find movie sex scenes particularly arousing to begin with since I know the sex is fake, and nudity alone when not connected to sex isn't something that immediately sparks arousal in me. If I see a girl topless in a non-sexual context I don't immediately think of jerking off or pop a boner. It's just some tits, big deal.

For others it will definitely be a P-sub though and worth avoiding.

i am a huge fan of GOT. but i have taken all the precautions to avoid watching this season. once i reached tripe digits (100 days) in nofap, then i have good reason to watch. because there is a lot of women power in GOT - so fappers are extremely vulnerable. i have no issues with storyline at all. this season may turn out to be the best season ever. but the explicit scenes trigger you---- not while watching the episode per se. but it will be a channel or gateway through which you may eventually end up watching porn. that's where the danger lurks. so beware.

  5. You are Right. It's all in the mind to perceive things and react to it.

  6. P-subs are subjective. What you may find triggering might be totally ok for someone else, so it's kinda hard for other people to help you decide what you'll find troublesome or not.

Something to take to note for GoT is that the sexy women are often actual porn stars (in the show) and it can be off kilting because you know She looks familiar and can't place why or where.... THAT'S why.
Not to mention, that's why they hire them for those scenes.... Any special features buffs here?
And if you are in Reboot it can simulate your brain to have a dopamine drip and you might not feel it until later.
My SO will see something sometimes and think he's fine and get a sort of "Chaser Effect" from it.
Think back, and there it is.
I hope you enjoy your show, but be careful moving forward!
    Good luck on your journey!

The explicit scenes in the films of Lars Von Trier also use P actors as body doubles etc as the sex shown is real. He wants authenticity. The goal of his films is vastly different from the goal of P films, though. Sexuality is a human trait frought with as much complexity and conflict as any other aspect of human lives, and so sexuality is covered in his films. Stay away if easily triggered. Nymphomaniac may be of interest to SOs wanting to understand sex addiction. PAs do not go to such extreme lengths, as they get their kicks from a computer screen, but I can see parallels.

For me, the mindset I am in when I view potentially erotic material probably determines if it is a p-sub. Watching with someone else (your SO perhaps?) could help prevent trigger or reset/relapse.
