Has anyone else here not had "The Talk" ?

Discussion in 'Porn Addiction' started by Prodigal Warrior, Jul 19, 2017.

  1. So, it probably sounds weird, but I have never in my life had the talk of the birds and the bees, I found things out the gross twisted way, porn, and randomly one day in my sleep I woke up with jizz in my pants.

And to this day I still haven't had it.

    Anyone else?

I think 90 percent of people on here never had the talk. That concerns me.

  3. Its sad, I wonder if its not just me effected by this, I wonder if divorce has anything to do with it, I never had the talk because my father left and had his own porn issues, my mother didn't want my porn viewing father to teach me about sex, and I'm glad he didn't, in that context though, I wish he had never had that issue and could of, but that's past me, I wonder if the divorce is what drove me to porn, I don't know, maybe lack of male guidance? I never really had a man around to take me under and teach me everything they knew, now I have porn addiction, tech addiction, and food addiction, I feel like crap everyday cause of this 400 pound lump of fat I call a body, and on top of that daily viewing of porn, takes the little energy out of me I had left. Its not fun.

My parents are divorced. My dad is still very much in my life.

  5. I still see my dad once a week, though sadly he's never really around to do things with me, we normally just go to town with my sister.

  6. I've haven't had the Talk with anyone (and I hope I'm wrong here) but I don't think a lot of people from the millennial generation will have it either. It's unfortunate that young people have to learn about and be educated about sex through porn. If parents educated their children about sex, maybe there would be a lot less pmo addicts out there.

  7. This current and coming generation is categorized as Generation Z, I believe its people under 23 or something, I know, Gen Z, sounds like a zombie virus.

  8. It might be worse for them with VR porn coming out. I shudder to think about porn in the next 5 years even.

  9. Crap I forgot that existed, it keeps getting worse doesn't it? I want a VR headset, but I worry what I'd use it for...

  10. If you know you'll relapse because of it, then don't get it.

  11. I unfriended someone online once, they were always high on drugs and kept asking me the same questions over and over, I finally gave up and cut them loose after they told me I should use VR Pornhub, I'm like "Yeah no".

Also it made me mad that Youporn was sponsoring a league of legends tournament one time, I'm like, this is a game kids and teens play, its rated T, how are they allowed to do this? And the other day I saw a campaign to push against internet censorship, and pornhub was one of the public backers, it annoys me that people let it into every nook and cranny where kids are going to be.

  12. This is a wild claim here but it's because, I think, the elites want people especially children to become addicted to PMO. C'mon it's so easy for kids these days to find it that it seems like some persons actually want kids to become addicted.

  13. Wild guess, the government wants us to all be addicted so we are to distracted by naked lass's so they can come in and TAKE OVER THE ENTIRE COUNTRY WITH ONE CLEAN SWOOP OF THEY'RE GRUBBY HANDS!!!

I've decided to have the talk with my ten year old son. It seems a little early to me, but seeing as the average age of porn exposure these days is around eleven, maybe I'm even a little late. He's a smart kid and we are more or less decent parents (feels wrong saying that when I'm a member of this forum) - so I'm hoping I can actually give him the tools he needs to not step into the same hole I did.

My first exposure to porn was my stepdad's stash - I can't let that happen in my family.

  16. I think 10 is a good age to tell, that's usually the age kids start getting hormones, they should know, I wish I had it. I'm 18 and I still haven't had it.

  17. I agree that if parents educated their children about sex, maybe there would be a lot less PMO addicts out there. The way you talk around here (like the moral conscience of NoFap:rolleyes:), I am surprised your parents didn't give you The Talk. They brought you up with Christian principles, but didn't prepare you for puberty. That is pure negligence in my honest opinion.

  18. I'm Christian as well, but in my situation my father was into porn himself and left us while this was happening, and my mother didn't want a porn watching, sleeping with other women's guy teaching me about sex. And after this she didn't know how to approach it because normally its the mother tells the daughters the father tells the sons, she didn't know how to approach it at the male angle cause I think they have different ways of handling it?

The only talk I had from my parents was to wear a condom. Tbh that's a pretty wise "talk".

I highly doubt there is some conspiracy. I think there is simply just a market that exposes people vulnerabilities. Honestly if I could make millions legally off people's addictions to porn, I probably would. Money is way more addicting than porn.
