RIP Chester B.

Sad news.

 

I struggled with these same feelings on NoFap. Porn is a drug like any other. Great artist, will be greatly missed.

 

Can't say I'm particularly affected by a lot of celebrity deaths, but Linkin Park were one of my favourite bands growing up so this hits close to home.

For those unaware, it would have been Chris Cornell's birthday. It's likely that Chris' suicide in May was what sent Chester over the edge and pushed him to do the same, particularly given that he did it the day of his friend's birthday.

If, like it appears, there is a connection, then this is yet another reminder to anyone who is holding on for dear life and considering these kind of things - your actions can be enough to send someone else over the edge too. Please consider the impact your actions would have if you ever find yourself in such a situation. It's never the right choice.

My heart goes out to the wife, kids, family, friends, and fans he left behind.

 

Many famous people committed suicide during these years. Life is too depressing?

 

I think this is what happens when we let our monkey minds take control, I imagine the people who commit suicide are overwhelmed by negative thought after negative thought and can't shift that to a better mindset.

Indeed it is true that money and fame don't bring happiness, we bring happiness from deep within ourselves and if we don't practice that enough we'll never be truly happy.

When it comes to listening to LP, I was more into their older stuff. They were my jam, back when I was in high school. I was never fan of their new stuff, but I've always respected them alot. R.I.P. Chester Bennington. He was a great vocalist.

Saddening that even famous people can suffer depression. We need to remember that celebrities are people and they have feelings as well.

 

It's sad... Breaking the Habit, What I've Done and In the End were probably my favourite Linkin Park songs. It made me angry yesterday because on Facebook some Christians were attacking him and saying he was possessed with demons.

 

That's unfortunate that Christians would say such a thing. No wonder saying such things discourage people from experiencing true Christian love and thus people turn away from the Church. Some Christians are really hypocritical.

Linkin Park has always been one of my favorites. I've been a fan for about 15 years so basically I grew up with them. Truly devastating, Chester was such a talent. I can't imagine the suffering he was going through.
