Affordable sex therapy, coach, for porn addict? NY

    Hi there. so to get straight to the point, im addicted to porn, its fucking up my relationship, mood, motivation, causing me pain. Its porn driven, not masturbation. I got to the point where I realized I cannot do this alone, I just dont have the answers or have the strength. I really want some therapy, coaching, help for this. Problem is sex therapy costs LITERALLY 150$ for 30 minutes on average, its CRAZY. I live in NY and generallwy insurance does not cover this stuff.

    Im open to trying online session, maybe group, but im really in need of 1 on 1 help with a specialist who can help. With a therapist, and the help of this forum, i should be good.

    Anyone know any places/ resources for this where its not crazy expensive?

    I don't have any advice for you about finding a therapist. However, maybe you should consider trying other means of recovery such as seeking a support group online or going to meetings? I think counseling can be overblown. I have had counseling before and while it can be helpful, it ultimately just gives you the tools to help yourself. Do you not have health insurance that pays for counseling?

    You said that generally insurance does not cover this stuff, but maybe you could get counseling for general issues like stress management, anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, or whatever, and address porn related issues with that counselor.

    If I need an accountability partner ill let you know.

    -good advice on getting a normal coach and using them for it. Ill keep trying that method

    I have ED. It's mostly medication related. That being said I do watch porn which doesn't help by any means. The little pills don't work so I figured a hard reboot was a worth a try. Even if some porn contributes to
    My ED its worth getting rid of for me. I can go months without watching any then maybe watch some 1-2 days a week. I don't need it to masturbate etc.
