i haven't had one in awhile but they usually show up after 7-10 days no porn.

I read an article about sleep and dreaming, it turns out dreaming is a way of regulation of emotions and thus it makes sense to dream about porn after time away from it. From this perspective it's a good thing, your brain is trying to fix the emotional issues underlying the porn.

Just don't let it lead to relapse, but it should be a sign of recovery.

I just put this down in another thread and I think it suits here as well.
For me porn or other sexual dreams sometimes led to orgasms/nocturnal emissions during sleep. And that has some disadvantages, at least losing energy.

I agree that dreaming is a way of regulation of emotions but I don’t think that porn dreams are a sign of recovery. In my view porn dreams are just a consequence of the fact that one uploaded all that porn images by watching porn to the own mind. If one doesn’t upload anymore by watching porn and especially doesn’t upload them my masturbating what makes the mental patterns even much stronger, after a longer period (reboot) there won’t be porn thoughts in the mind anymore. And so they also won’t occur during dreams anymore I suppose as well.
