    Why does it seem so many people have trouble just sitting still? Yes I exercise etc but constant movement is just another bad coping mechanism. Until you can be still in mind and body and deal with urges can you really make progress? I'm not so sure.

    That sounds like a feature of anxiety disorders. It’s certainly a question on the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Questionaire GAD-7.

    When we sit still we come face to face with our minds. And for a lot of us, it is easier to ignore our thoughts than face our own minds. I think being able to sit still and be at peace with that action or lack of action is not something easy to achieve. Isnt that what great yogis and meditation practitioners work towards?
