Am I Bisexual?

I don't believe anyone can answer for you - weather or not you are, or are not bisexual. However, I would imagine that being bisexual is more then the physical attraction of 'man to man' - but additionally, personality, brains, emotions - ect. - Just like a man's attraction to a women is more then just physical (hopefully)

 

Being bi means you have twice as many options when it comes to dating.

 

I also struggled with porn-induced thoughts vs actual realizations. See how you feel about it w/o porn. Time will reveal how you actually feel. Whether it's a desire to be penetrated by someone or the desire to be penetrated/sexually intimate with a man specifically. If the curiosity grows bigger, try it out. If the curiosity dies post-porn, I would dismiss it as a porn-induced fantasy.

 

I don't think same sex thoughts are uncommon. I have some with regard to role play but they do not include penetrative sex at all.

 

Since I stopped watching porn a year and a half ago my same sex thoughts have all but disappeared. There may have been other influencing factors though. I guess the only way to know is to get porn out of your life and then see how you feel.

 

Its normal to have some degree of curiosity, what would make you bisexual/homosexual/whatever is how this affects your day to day life. If youre just having the occasional thought then I wouldnt say that makes you bi, but if you are actively thinking about it a lot and checking out men in real life, then I would say maybe you are.

Ultimately though only you can decide that for yourself, how much curiosity about it do you really have?

My view is that bisexuality can be porn-induced. Take for example porn that shows a blow job. The penis is right there filling the screen along with the woman's face. What is a person really staring at? The penis, the face, the act. Stare at it long enough for many years and what are you attracted to: the penis, the face, the act? It's hard to know what patterns the neurons are imprinting. I haven't read Your Brain on Porn yet, so maybe now's the time to learn more about it.

I think it depends on when the bi sexual thoughts began. If these were common before you started consuming tons of porn then probably. If these thoughts progressed while watching the porn then it may be porn induced. Either way, you could probably benefit from a long reboot before you jump to conclusions or explore the issue any further.

I genuinely think so many people focus on this site worry so much about being anything but straight that it hinders progress. Straight men who watch extreme porn arent gay/bi/whatever 99% of the time, just someone addicted to novelty (I know I was, its why I would regularly swap between genres rather than stick to one for any length of time) and the quicker they realise this the quicker they can start actually focussing on the real issue, which of course is PMO.

 

You made me think of something funny that happened years ago,in the shop I worked at we would watch porn videos at lunch break. A guy brought in a a video called "No Bats just Twats".As we watched it a guy who was the oldest in the shop said Hey where are the cocks. Same here, but i believe it's not caused by porn in my case, i want it from start when i started with porn and fapping. It's same for last 20 and more years and i never want to watch more weird stuff like rape or BDSM to bring dopamine in my brain.

Well said sir. As i said it's (in mostly women cases) just fantasy and most of women don't want to do it in real life. I think women are better when it goes about dividing sex desire in fanatasy and real life.
