I know exactly how you feel BRO! It is so frustrating to relapse especially you have made such a huge progress. It's like you are climbing a tower, you have reached an significant height, however all of a sudden you fall to ground and you have to restart climbing again...

BUT! It is not completely true, you number of days does go back to zero, but the benefits you earned from quitting fap do not simply go back to zero. You have already made quite far on your journey, one relapse does not devastate you, you are still way stronger compare to the days when you are obsessed with masturbation. What you have to do now is to live at PRESENT, focus what you have, what can you have right now, stop dwelling in the failure in the past, fight for what's in front of you. Best wish for you, you can still earn fairly amount of benefits before leaving abroad!

Thanks man! Im not worried or anything as I know of the benefits already as I have experienced them first hand before. I also don't really mind being ona flatline as I know it is part of the process and I know why it is happening. Once you come out of flatline it means that the brain is slowly unwiring itself from the addiction pathway of porn and means you are returning to the natural state. 90 days is the guidline for you to return to the natural state, however I believe that the process takes longer than that. The 90 days I think are the way to unwire your brain and "reboot" to a natural level but from then you need to build on natura habits to build new mental pathways froma fresh start. If you use this analogy "your computer has a virus so you reboot your computer to the factory settings, wiping all contents in the process. This is like the 90 day reboot as you are returning to your natural state and ridding yourself of the bad habit (PMO). However, if you begin to download the same programs after the factory reset you will inevitably end up with the same virus and be back to square one. If after the 90 days of rebooting, like many do on this forum, you go back to masturbation and porn then you will end up back at where you started. You have to "download" the right habits after the reboot, such as only releasing through sexual contact with a real partner and not solo ejaculation". This is an analogy that I came up with for this journey and I believe it illustrates the process well. Basically the moral of this post is to not think of this as a 90 day "challenge" as there is no end to this. Many people say that they have complteded the challenge and then go back to normal, but this is not the way. I believe that this is a 180 day challenge. In the ideal form it would be 90 days of hardmode in order to unwire your brain and reboot. The following 90 days should then still include no masturbation or porn but introduce sex with a real partner in order to rewire your brin fro the fresh reboot in order to strengthen the pathways. I am one third of the way through the first stage of a long journey. After the 90 day reboot stage you have the opportunity to change your life forever but you also have a choice to go back to the way you were before. My overall goal is 365 days of NoFap, ultimately leading to me never masturbating again. This is a long post but I wanted you guys to know my overall goal of my journey and also my perspective on nofap. Please let me know your perspectives on NoFap and possibly any observations or experience that you have had. Peace

Keep it up abc! I believe the hardest part is behind you by now, you just need to not lose sight of why you are doing this. I've written down a load of reasons and inspiring quotes on some paper next to my bed now that I read when I'm having an urge. Maybe you could try this too - I find the urge becomes much easier to control. Also, don't let your brain play tricks on you - like thinking 'maybe I'm finished rebooting,' as the challenge gets into the later stages.

I completely understand the trigger of hangovers, they had the same effect on me during my first attempt (76d), so I think trying to do this during the summer when we're not at uni is a good idea (less drinking).

I really respect your view point on the 90 day reboot being a life-long thing and I like your ideas of introducing sex in the subsequent part to learn new habits. Something I am thinking of doing myself, although the temptation to introduce sex earlier is a strong one and I'm not sure how harmful it is.

    Anyways, keep strong! Vezo

I have created a new counter titled "mindless internet and television usage" as I believe this is an addiction for me and destructive one at that. Although it is not as bad as porn it is an addiction and creating pathways in my brain that I want to leave behind me. As it is not as difficult as no PMO my goal is 30 days. In fact I am going to change this so that it is completed when my NoFap goal s accomplishd. So I will make this goal 50 days meaning that it will be over 2 days after my no PMO goal. The conditions of this goal are that I can only check email, facebook, this forum, etc, a maximum of once per day. I will watch stuff like the news, sports and documentaries on television and allow myself for a series or two that I am interested in. In other words once I go on the tv or the internet I have aplan for what it is I am doing rather than mindlessly scrolling and watching crap on tv. I am also getting rid of Netflix. For facebok, I will log on once per day check messages and see if I have any notifications. If I have no notifications or messages I will log off right away, so no mindless scrolling of the news feed. The same with emails, if there is nothing to address in the emails then I will close it down right away. I am actually going to limit this forum use to once per week also as there is no real need to check it every day as I don't even post daily. Thhis is just as addictive as porn in my opinion and one in which want to eradicate. I want to use the tv and the internet as a toll to improve myself rather than wasting my time on it. The internet should be a tool to keep up to date with current affairs, social network (the correct way, i.e arranging dates and planning activities), and to keep on top of your career and seek opportunites (i.e the purpose of email). It should therefore be a great tool, if used the right way, but the majority use it in a disempowering and destructive way. I am cutting out youtube vidoes as well from my life. Srry to those who I have been supporting but there is no real need for it in my life. There is one guy on youtube, however, who I find very inspiring as it is related to nofap and his journey. I actually posted his 90 day report in my thread so check it out. I will check in on his channel from time to time, but as said this is a toll for my development as he is on the same journey as us all and has had success so we can all learn from that. So the main goal of this challenge is to use the tv and the internet as atool in our lives rather than sapping the time and energy from us. I am also going to edit my counters to take out the hours as I feel as I far enough down the line now that the hours aren't really relevant. Anyaway, long post, but I am just explaining my goals with this journey. Let me know what you guys think and if anyone is doing this also. Peace

So im 50% closer to my 90 day goal. The urges to day have been strong enough. I am currently getting ready to leave for America next week. I have created a workout routine that I will be following during my time in the states. I found out that I will be playing on the golf team for the uni in the states. I am very excited for the year ahead. This will be a pivotal year for my self-development in all aspects of my life. I will continue my NoFap journey throughout the year (no masturbation or porn). I will release my testosterone through my workout regime, meeting women, and changing my life for the better. In a way my goal for the year is to come back from my year abroad as the same person, but an upgraded version both physically, sexually, emotionally and mentally. I wish all you guys the best of luck on your journeys. Peace

I think the way forward of nfap again is grate. About 3 years ago I read a post that put how to think about your self and masturbating very simple and it's a strong thought.

"I have not given up masturbation, I'm just not a masturbator"

    Keep going guy.
