Porn is naked people. Porn substitutes are things you could still cap to, like pics of a girl in a bikini.

  3. Porn refers to books, magazines, and films that are designed to cause sexual excitement by showing naked people or referring to sexual acts. https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/porn

P/subs refers to books, magazines, and films that are NOT designed to cause sexual excitement. However, they cause sexual excitement for that person. E.g. watching a swimming competition; looking at a lingerie catalogue or 'bikini babes'.

What is a P/sub to one person is not a porn sub to another. It would be wrong to call a swimming competition pornographic!

Porn is something you watch but you do not participate in.

  5. Not necessarily. Porn stars participate; millions watch cam sites and direct the performers to 'do' they things that turn them on; even more people send pornographic content to each other and 'perform' in cam to cam sessions.

Any artificially sexually arousing material is pornography.

  7. Had to look up ASMR because I did not know what that is and dang that got me erected less than 5 seconds. Not tuning into one again. But porn is material of naked people and participate in sexual acts.

  8. There's two arguments to this, first there is the literal definition of what the general consensus is to the lay person. Ie porn a record of people engaging in sexual acts or erotic posing. Porn is basically the same as prostitution since the performers do it for money, they are selling their body and using it as a commodity. The other definition of porn is 'what is porn to you' since there are so many varying fetishes and quirks these days with online content, what one person may see as a slightly wierd but harmless picture, to someone else may counjour up feelings of arousal...Feet for example, or ears? a picture of a foot in and of its self is not pornographic, but to someone with a foot fetish, it acts on the brain the same way porn does, so if it makes you aroused even if it's not technically or literally 'pornography' then to you it is still 'pornographic'

Nudity alone isn't porn. Some of the greatest works of art in the world involve nudity. P sub to me is a ridiculous term. A Victoria secret catalog is a catalog not porn. If a bikini picture gets you that worked up you have deeper issues than porn. I don't even consider playboy porn. Porn to me refers to viewing penetrative sexual acts where you actually see the penetration as well has a core core role play, fetish behavior, or voyeuristic behavior in a visual medium.

  10. That is a very narrow definition Marino. I would suggest your definition is of hard core porn. But there is an awful lot of porn which is less graphic, yet it is highly erotic which you can masturbate to and easily achieve an orgasm and cum to. o_O

Hardcore to me would be things such as anal intercourse, multiple partners, BDSM, etc.

Eroticism is not by nature pornographic to me but more a celebration of sexuality.

You're asking the wrong question. The question is "what is porn to me?" And the answer is something you'll have to decide for yourself.

The objective, technical definition of porn is a depiction of naked people expressly for the purpose of titillating and arousing viewers. It can't just be "naked people", otherwise the statue of David would be considered porn.

But the real question is the subjective one: what is porn to you? If you're using Instagram and Facebook to compulsively browse pictures of scantily clad women with big asses because that's what you're into, then it's really no different than porn and you should treat it as such.

Don't get caught up in the technicalities of what's porn and what isn't. Just figure out what distracts you from your goals in life and go from there.

I find cutting out anything that i deliberately look for that i know will be sexually stimulating. Whether it's an image of someone i find attractive in an enticing look (bikini clad or whatever), or reading a story i wrote about someone i fancy, or graphic imagery (aka porn clips). For me, if it's something that i know will get me aroused at that particular moment of wanting the stimuli, that's what i class. A brain doesn't know the difference between images, it just knows what is getting it hyper-charged...!

But that's not a problem right now, as i'm in a pretty bad flatline... : (

You can get aroused and triggered without seeing nudity. Erotic literature is definite porn.
Youtube has tons of ASMR videos done by pretty girls. Watching them and especially listening to the binaural audio can trigger bad time, though the purpose of the videos should be opposite..

I am living in a country with Family Sauna culture. Families go to bathe together in their home sauna and children see their parents and siblings naked right from the early childhood. They will then start to go to sauna by themselves as the first signs of puberty are showing. I think it's very natural approach for children of how to deal with nudity and is a binding thing for the family. Doing everyday stuff together even butt naked :) Just someone being nude no big deal for us.

  19. This is a healthy approach imo.
In some prudish cultures it is considered child abuse, when you are naked in front of your children. How fucked up is that? Yet showing yourself in that G-String bikini, where you can basically see everything, is totally fine.
And what I noticed when going to the sauna, is that the younger better looking folks are always the most shy.
The 80 year old grandma has no problem showing herself naked, yet some 20 year old girl has so much shame about nudity, that she only goes to the sauna in her bikini (which is not allowed in most saunas).
I think porn has played a great role in this.

  20. I think that is a very healthy culture. Generally, the West is very hung up about nudity in a non-sexual context IMHO. o_O
