Vivid dreams, oversleeping, overdreaming - *any advice please*

    Hi fellows

I tend to oversleep, overdream with vidid dreams, and it really bothers me.

    Typical day :

    - evening : I feel great, crystal clear mind, everything is in the right place
    - late evening : fatigue, my body wants to sleep
    - go to bed about 11:30PM : I fall asleep in no time
    - night : sleep like a log but dream a lot and very vivid dreams
    - 6:30AM : alarm clocks (3 different) -> shut them off zombie-style anywhere they are in the house and return to bed. Impossible to do differently, my body and mind crave rest.
    - 8:30AM/9:00AM : wake-up tired. It's like coming from a long journey : left me tired and aching, memories from the intense dreams I just made like if it was real, brain fog, no motivation to move, just stay laying in the bed like a stone. Usually feel tension in the stomach/intestine.
It usually take me 1 to 3 hours after waking up to focus again to the reality, to the day, to my planning, ...
And on the afternoon and evening I feel great again. But I'm tired to have to conquer again my energy and lucidity everyday... Is sleep not supposed to recharge us?

I tried a lot of things:

    - going to bed earlier
    - eating/no eating in the evening
    - no alcohol (btw I don't drink since months)
    - stopping coffee totally
    - sleeping drugs
    - sleeping in different places at home
    - meditation
    - no electronics after 8:00pm
    - alternative medicine
    - and PMO / no PMO : back in time I tried different things regarding PMO, and I conclude that too much MO lead to more tension.

    Clues :

As I said, in the morning I feel tension -kind of squishing in the intestine/stomach. It can be an over-inhibition I do : when I have a pleasant sexual feeling or thought, even 1/4 seconds, my body tightens to kill the feeling, as is perceived as "bad".
So maybe dreams are a way for me to deal with all the accumulated energy ?

Well, IDK what to do and the situation make me really angry because I feel I'm loosing my time and energy

If you have any advice I'll be glad to hear
    Thanks

    Hey man.
I have some ideas which could help you.
    1. Drink some water before bed
    2. Meditate before bed. ( 10 min is cool). Just observe your breath.
    3. Listen to relaxing music in low volume.
    4. Repeatedly say to yourself 5 to 6 times -" I will wake up At 6pm/7pm, whatever ...". This is prayer for subconscious. I recommend you to go through power of subconscious mind by Joseph Murphy. You will thank me later.
After waking up first 30 min and before bed first 30 min are the most important parts of your day. Make it a point to be positive.

After first alarm, immediately stand up and drink a cup of water, like chug it. This will help you get out of bed and shock tour mind.

    Mental status. Are you depressed?
Age, you may be at that age where rest is required more.
Circadian sleep cycles, check it out.
Blogs pressure. Those with lower blood pressure trend to have an issue with energy.

Re the dreams, perhaps something environmental is disturbing you?

    Check -
    • room as dark as can be? Good curtains, block window with sheet of card if needs be, get good blackout blind.
    • temperature? get around 19 degrees if can, fan, portable airconditioner etc
    • draft excluder at bottom of door, to block light coming under it
    • noise, again a fan or air-conditioner provides constant white noise drowning out external stuff
    • bed? new mattress? pillow good?
everything the other guys said about cool drink before bed and relaxing before etc is good, Light excercise and fresh air before bed helps too.

    good luck.

Thank you guys for your answers

@Akashtyrionlannister : I did meditate, but I fall asleep immediatly each time lol
About the self suggestion thing, I will try again. Some years ago it helped me. I read some self-help books but no the one you refers to. I put it on my to-read-list thanks.

@TalkingScum : the problem is even if I stand up, go for a coffee, stop the alarm, ... my mind and body want so bad to go back to sleep that they overpass my rational thinking. Let's say they have better arguments and eventualy win.
Mental status : not really depressed, but this is not a easy time : broke up recently, loneliness feeling, worries about work, ...
    - Age : 32, and very good health so the biological side is ok, had a blood check some weeks ago and was perfect (the doctor said)
    - Sleep cycle : yes, I tried different things including taking melatonin, but same problem : dreams are too vivid and exhausts me
    - Blood pressure : perfectly normal

@timetochange45uk : thanks for the list. I can check every point, except the silence, since my neighbours make noise but not after midnight so it's pretty ok.

@all and to continue the discussion :

I really think my overdreaming/oversleeping problem is PMO related.
I know that in some traditions sexual energy and dreaming are interrelated, and from my experience that make sense.

I think there is a conflict inside me :
    - sexual energy want to be free and to flow (not necessary for O)
    - some part of me blocks this energy because it's perceived as a possible relapse trigger

So I fight like this during hours until I'm so tired that all resistance vanish, and sexual energy is released as if it were held by a dam that suddently brokes.
Then vivid dream come, and if I wake up during that time, it's very painful for my mind.

But IDK what to do : edging could be a solution but I don't want to.
    Any ideas / thoughts ?

I've got a similar issue, every single day when I wake up, I wake up depressed/stressed/tired, I mean heavily and there is no reason for it. As the day goes on I get happier, go to bed positive and content, rinse and repeat.

I have tried almost everything, getting in more sleep (this actually worsens it), meditation, avoiding electronics an hour before bedtime. It helped maybe a small bit, but it did not completely alleviate those feelings. Now I know it's not exactly the same, but try and take something from it. A while back I came across a video that inspired me, motivated me to start using those negative emotions in a positive way. Here's the video, maybe you can take something from it:

Thanks bro, that helped me actually. I like this kind of video that remind us we are designed a certain way that follows our nature. In this case it means in the morning we have to kick our *** to not be eaten by predators, makes sense.

I still have some vivid/bad dreams, but I manage them better : I think the key is

    1. let them flow with confidence, even if it's painful
    2. on waking, just let them where they are, don't try to find the hidden meaning or whatever
    3. start the day as planned, regardless of the moment's feeling

But man still painful to have such many vivid or bad dreams
