A few days I posted about being in a horrible flatline, well I decided to have a steady Zinc intake and increase my fat intake to 70g minimum.

I'm on a calorie deficit so instead of cutting fat I cut my carbs back to 40ish grams while keeping fats between 70-85g while having protein at 120+ grams and the difference is profound.

In the last 3 days I've had sexual dreams and get random hard bones throughout the day.

If you're cutting weight I suggest cutting carbs rather than fat. Carbs give you energy but fats are crucial to your hormones.

  2. You're trying to lose weight so you're cutting the macro nutrient which has 4 kcals per gram and increasing the one that has 9 kcals per gram?

    40 grams of carbs

    70 grams of fat

    120 protein

Unless you are a 5'0" 95lb woman, you are in WAY too much of a defecit

I am 6"1 and 73kg male. My TDEE is 2000 so as a skinny fat I am lifting weights and eating at a deficit, 1500 calories is only 500 below my TREE and a steady 1lb loss per week.

The protein is high to preserve muscle and the fats preserve hormones. Between low fat and low carb, I pick low carb any day.

  6. It's a ketogenic diet and it's not unhealthy provided you do it correctly. The main issue I have is that OPs disregard for some key factors such as a persons lean body mass, body fat%, and goals. These will all factor into calculating your macros. Also if you have a high body fat% then there's no point increasing dietary fat nor will there be a significant hormonal change since your body fat will be used in place of dietary fat which is the point if you want to lose weight.

I dont get why people do keto diet altho your diet isnt keto since its not 80% calories from fat and as long as you lift weight and exercise 120g protein is fine

    You shouldnt be cutting.

You arent skinnyfat, you are plain skinny

  9. A diet is keto if it restricts carbs, usually past 30g, but some people can tolerate more carbs and still be in ketosis. Keto has nothing to do with eating a bunch of fat. The 80% fat was a ratio for patients with epilepsy. A ketogenic diet designed for body recomp will have a protein and fat macro based on height, weight, lean body mass, body fat%, TDEE, and goals.
