Yep, it would be a pretty simple operation but diabetes makes everything worse and recovery would be awful for me. I am super nervous waiting for the scan. I hope that it turns out okay so that I can just take some medicine or something.
Oh no. :( Yes your diabetes would complicate things. A scan sounds a bit extreme given you've only just alerted the doc of your stomach pains. But at least it will show what the root of the matter is. Good luck, let's hope it's nothing serious.
