I've just joined NoFap and I am really hopeful that it will be the start of a new me. I first masturbated when I was around 12 & I do not think I have lasted more than a month without masturbating ever since. However, finding this community gives me hope and I have read many stories on here & I am very hopeful that 2019 will be different. I am aiming to not pmo during 2019.

I have finally come to the realisation that I need to change as this is having an impact on my life and I want to refocus my energy to do better things in my life.

I would really appreciate any tips on triggers that I should look to avoid. I know we are all different but I think it will be helpful for me to hear about triggers of others in the NoFap community as I am sure I will be able to relate. And I think it will motivate me to not give in when I recognise the triggers that affect everyone. Thanks in advance!

I was reading "Your brain on porn" last month and although I liked it overall, I must say I got triggered by many of the stories mentioned in it.

Really? I don’t remember anything triggering. Everyone is different though.

Yes, I got triggered as many of the former PMO:ers told their sex-stories which made my life feel quite lonely and bleak in comparison.
