That's good. I've tried setting up punishments for myself, but they never really seemed to stick.

Oh. Maybe your punishments are too hard/easy? I just feel like writing down what I can and can’t do makes it more set in stone that I should do it

Maybe. It's just that in the moment, it's tough to think about anything other than what I want right now. It's good that they work for you, though.
