    The stars make me cry.
Einstein tells me that their light is measured in years.
How many of them that twinkle are now long dead?

They burned their whole lives to reach us, guide us and give us hope...serving their purpose even after they are gone.

    Our sweet & shining ghosts.

    Although they are gone
The stars will always live on
Twinkling forever in the night sky-
    Their eternal beauty never fading
Even as we are getting older.

They truly are our sweet and shining ghosts. To think that they gave themselves up to reach and guide us forward, to serve as inspirations of hope and beauty. They do have a purpose that lasts longer than the sands of time.

I think that we are like the stars.
It can take so long for one person to reach another.
Our light must cross unfathomable darkness.

Yet, there are the stars in the sky...reminding us gently that it isn't just possible, it's merely a matter of time.

We are our own shining star
Because we help each other escape the darkness
With the light that twinkles in the sky-
It is the same light that sets us free
And vanquishes the dark away from the light.

Time. The one notion that we all come back to. Stars. Rose gardens. Time is always eternally present even if we do not realize it. As you say, it is just a matter of time- time that I hope is kind to us.
