Glad to hear it. I just hope it does make a difference when the temptation gets beyond my level of control. When willpower just doesn't cut it anymore hopefully I remember all those months I wasted behind a nasty computer screen. Started jacking when I was either 12 or 13 yrs old. I'm 19 now. My entire teenage-hood for God's sake!
I know the feeling- for me- I started masturbating to internet porn around 2005 ish- when I bought my first laptop- i was already 23 ish so I was past my "formative" years but I still spent over 12 year jacking off to porn... it was very damaging.
A lot of being successful isn't just about resisting urges- it's recognising triggers, what causes urges and developing new positive habits to replace the habit of fapping.
Yeah, I know. See that's the shitty thing about this 21st century technological world we live in: Unfortunately, each day now involves multiple, inescapable hours of computer/web usage in a solitary environment with free Internet porn literally at my fingertips. There is no definite escape. Every, single day is a test of oneself, a neverending battle... until we die.
There are measures we can take to avoid loosing hours a day online. For instance I have made a resolution to read a new book every month this year- that is something to distract me from computer/s I want to start going to the gym more also- again keeping away from virtual reality.
If you have to be online there are certain porn blockers that can be used though :) I agree though about 21st century living internet/social media is kinda shit and has taken the mystery out of life a bit.
