Personally, I don't really feel that it makes a difference to me in any way, but I understand why people do them.

I already have a real life leather journal where all of my darkest thoughts are anyway. Doing on on here doesn't make a difference to me or my progress, honestly, but it might be different for you.

Do it if you feel like doing it. No one will force you to write there in case you'll change your mind.
