That has happened to me too... I had a good streak and was feeling the same way.

Then I relapsed and felt even worse. PMO will definitely not fix this.

You pretty much just have to keep at it.
No 2 reboots were ever exactly the same because everyone has different physicality, physiology and brain chemistry etc.

The whole point to NoFap (beyond sexual repair) is to start engaging in reward behaviors that actually benefit you. If you are sitting around waiting to reboot it will take longer and you won't feel the effects. If you grab life by the balls a little bit and start incorporating new activities (gym, forest walks or even just walking through a city and talking to strangers) you will 1. Be a bit more distracted from your reboot and urges and, 2. start developing social interactions while in this hunger mode.

You'll be surprised what you might enjoy doing after you stop depleting your life energy into a tissue 2 or 3 times a day.

You can do it bro, I spent my first week in a similar mindset and quickly started doing new things and my mental state has improved immensely.

It's not as easy as "Go talk to girls" for everybody. One step at a time.

    Work on your PMO,
remember why you decided to abstain,
realize that doubting why you started in the first place is PART of this process of recovery.

Try to keep the big picture in mind- you have been training yourself to enjoy the short term pleasure of FAP- now you are training your brain to be more disciplined to cure some of that anxiety and allow you to not think "I hate this life"

Also, everything in life comes in Waves so if your down right now then it means you have good things coming your way.

    Turn down for what?!

j/k Yeah, 11 days are still really early. I know it's hard man, but it often takes longer than 11 days to see benefits, though you should notice some soon. The thing that is going on is you are used to "medicating" yourself with PMO whenever you feel anxious or depressed or whatever. Sure, there are physical things going on, like your man bits expecting a release soon and it's like wtf is going on? ha. It will adjust, and no your penis won't break or anything if you don't MB. You will get a wet dream eventually, though it may take a while, every guy is different. But more importantly, your brain is used to coping with negative feelings by running from them with PMO or MB or whatever. So, here you are left with just your feelings. And it sucks, because you are forced to see how ugly and painful they can be, rather than just run and hide from them. It's not easy, man. But it's the only way to face them and conquer the lies they speak to you. Warriors don't run, they fight. And most guys are p*ssies when it comes to facing their own crap. Don't be that guy any longer. Look into your heart. See what is in there. See why you are feeling these fears (and anxiety is fear). And replace the lies with truths about you. Truth that you are a great guy. There is all the hope in the world for you. You can and will do awesome things. Use the time you would PMO to connect with others. You said you feel anxiety w/girls. OK, what about guy friends? Hang out with some people. Talk about some of these fears with someone you trust. See what things you can do to improve yourself. Not fapping alone will not give you superpowers. That is BS. But it can create a better environment for making significant changes in your life that WILL help you to like who you are more (become confident) and start realizing that others will like you, too. Even girls. :) But don't be a b*tch and just run back to PMO once it gets tough. Suck it up, face your demons, call them out for being the liars they are, and become a better you. That's the only person you have to be--YOU. Just be the best YOU you can be! :)

    Hey!
I've just ended my first 75-day streak; not worried, coz I've already gained so much.

Sounds like it's working for you, too... even though it's rough at first. Take away the addiction and you're left with the needy feelings that drive it -- which sucks. But then... as you wake up from your hormone high... you get to notice and address the feelings you have covered up with the addiction. Nervousness is normal, at first.

In my experience, the most sustainable reboot is where you're not only taking PMO away, but _adding_ a positive lifestyle (meditation, exercise, meaning, ...).

My parent died recently and I was away from home and out of touch with NoFap for weeks so at the end I had a little relapse (my first) but I'm no-where near the spiritual morass I was in before the 1st streak.

Keep going, man.. and work on filling the void with good stuff! We're rooting for ya!

10 days isn't nearly long enough to see significant results. Most therapists say it takes at least 90 days to start feeling significant changes, and that it can take up to 3 years for the brain to fully heal and recalibrate, depending on the severity of the addiction beforehand.

You mean after three years our brain doesn't think about PMO forever?

I think he means after 3 years the brain will be re-sensitized to natural stimulation (the sight and touch of a real woman/person)

The problem with PMO being an addictive phenomena is that like any addiction, it's possible to relapse at any time. I know people who quit smoking 25 years ago that still have an urge to smoke after a couple of drinks. PMO will remain a slippery slope for us, I think the important thing is that we don't indulge while alone. If friends put porn on or you see it publicly I think it will do less harm than if you see it while alone in your room at 1:00AM.

Hopefully by that point you will be so interested in real women that PMO won't even come close.

And, it will be time to step away from what's playing on the screen ;0> Don't give P another foothold in your life - walk away and take pride in the fight. You're in it to win!

Dude I don't know if someone has mentioned this yet because I haven't read all the replies but I know EXACTLY how you're feeling. It's kind of like a hike. One morning you wake up and think of all of the benefits to a hike. You are in this state of happiness and fortitude so you decide to go take the hike. You start out alright but slowly as you climb that mountain you feel fatigue. You start noticing how hot the day is and it's making the sweat drip in your eyes which stings. You didn't bring water so are super thirsty. Your stomach starts to growl from lack of food. You enter a forest for a little shade but the many bugs come out of their hiding holes to enjoy the smells you put off. You find a bush to eat some berries which helps relieve the hunger and they have juices to help hydrate you a little but then you start to get stung and eventually think "God I am miserable right now! Why the actual hell did I choose to take this hike?!?" Many of your friends have told you this mountain has an INCREDIBLE view. One of the best anyone has ever seen and perfect for a date. As you crawl through the forest seeing no end to this madness you take a sharp left and you walk out through an opening....

HUZZAH! YOU'VE MADE IT! The view is gorgeous, the wind is blowing, you aren't even thinking of the bugs anymore, there's a water fountain and a bed of green grass for you to sit on and rest.
This is the NoFap journey. You might be lost, confused, miserable and depressed but as you get close to three weeks you will notice these incredible benefits. Push through my friend. Valleys and peaks are all part of the process.
