100 Days Without P or M - The Ultra Marathon (Started on May 15, 2020)

Discussion in 'Events & Challenges' started by Jefe Rojo, May 7, 2020.

  1. 6 days completed. Feeling stronger and determined.

  2. *****************
    DAY 7
    *****************

Are we really on day 7 already? Time is flying by right now. I know it will slow down and the days will get longer and tougher. 100 days is a looong time - over 3 months. But I’m encouraged by how it has started out. And most of us are still going strong.
I’m feeling strong today. No urges today. Every day is different. If you’re feeling urges today, be patient and there is a good chance that they will leave within a day or two.

  3. I read that book too! The tips and tricks of the books really don't seem to work, if you don't personally read the books. Because the "Why?" is usually more important then the "How?". That being said, I learned that you should start habit easy, like 1 page of book everyday, which sounds silly but it isn't, or visit the gym for 5mins everyday, and eventually you might as well be there for longer periods.
The best thing you will learn, is that the mind set of goals is bad, and the mind set of who im going to become is better.
Like this: I want to run 40 kilometers. <-- That's the fron aproach. This is the right: What kind of person can run 40km? Then become that person.

  4. day 7! 14 days to my personal challenge!
Im expecting the flatline to start hitting soon.
And when it does ill be ready(mentally).

I don't have any porn blockers anywhere because that serves as trigger to me, since I make the task of finding a hole in my system the relapse point + mentality will be with you for the rest of the life, that's what I need to work on.

  5. I think getting out of bed is major thing in keeping the streak going, since it serves as the first lazy or productive thing in morning.

Here's some spiritual tips from navy SEAL:

  7. Nice! I think my last relapse was May 14, 2020 so this fits my streak perfectly.

  9. Checking in. Going well. I did have some sexual activity with my wife, I am not a hard mode rebooter, so I am going to be struggling through the next 96 hours fam. Wish me luck.

On a side note I went to the gym last night and did a 2 mile run. The exercise is helping, as I have a couple weeks now of cycling and running under my belt, but not every day...

  10. Good to see our numbers getting stronger! The past few days have been pretty smooth sailing for me thankfully. Staying busy has been a big help and I'll continue to be pretty damn busy for the next couple weeks so hopefully this pattern of ease holds. My weakest points are in the morning, I tend to not remember how much I care about my streak as I'm just waking up and have wood. So far I've been doing fine with this though, I've been working on training myself to get out of bed as soon as I wake up. It's good to know your own weak points and try to address them with better habits when you're feeling strong rather than waiting to try to power through them when you're feeling weak.

Speaking of better habits, I'm off for a quick meditating session. Bet of luck to everyone, keep going!!

  11. ...and to take it one day at a time. :)

  12. I have been running everyday, who knows how much, but id say about 7km. Trying to create habit out of it, since after the run I feel amazing and I don't have the feeling of boredom when I sit down because some of my active energy is gone and more of my thinking energy left with me. I think I will relapse if I stop running for one day, and not feeling of being tired just yeat. Don't tell me to take rest days, since im trying to build habit, not building up my body.

  13. Nice. 5k or 10k daily are HUGE accomplishments. I've done both intermittently during my life, and yea- it emptie the tank and leaves not much energy for anything else. Keep at it SR

I've PMOed a few times since 5/15, unfortunately

  15. Sorry to hear that. Best of luck to you in the future. It’s a tough battle but we only lose if we give up trying. Thanks for letting us known. Take care.

  16. Amen brother! The best time to create defense strategies is when you’re feeling strong. If you wait until you’re weak you will probably be too late. I’m glad you’re doing well. Keep up the good work!

I agree about the staying busy part. I think that while PMO addiction may impede productivity, the converse is certainly true - inactivity makes us more susceptible to our urges. The goal is not only to stop doing a bad habbit but also to start doing something good instead. I find that the two are in a sort of counterbalance - the presence of one lessens the presence of the other.
