Discussion in 'Events & Challenges' started by Jefe Rojo, May 7, 2020.

  1. Same here day 1 done on this marathon. Maybe I didn't make the deadline for the official list - but I am in the crowd running alongside you!

Feeling good. I’m glad so many people want to be a part of this challenge. The days will add up fast. Keep going strong everyone!

Keep going strong everyone, you all motivate me to stay focused!

  5. What other stuff are you guys doing along with the challenge?
    • I'm going to bed by 10pm.
    • Taking cold showers.
    • Exercising 5 days a week.
    • Dieting to get in better shape.
    • Limiting web browsing.
    • Crossing out the days in a notebook each night before bed.
I also want to meditate but it's such a frustrating experience in a house full of kids.

Going to bed early is definitely a good idea. I'm usually most tempted to use porn and/or masturbate at night. One thing I've been doing is fasting. I find I have no interest in looking at the opposite sex when on an empty stomach. My sexual appetite is considerably reduced and I think more clearly. Exercise is great, too.

I'm doing a whole-body workout with dumbbells at home every third day, I started during corona and really love doing it. I try to do meditative prayer every day and read a short pasage from the bible. I read informative and self-improvement books, currently one about parenting. Eating healthy is something I do since 7-8 years, once you realize how bad the average diet is you'll never want to turn back to that.
    DAY 3

  8. Wow, that's almost exactly what I landed on for my own workout. Every third day, full-body workout at home. I used to use dumbbells entirely but now I have a bench so I added bench presses to my regimen. I used to do dumbbell shrugs for my traps but now I'm using a bar for shrugs because I can fit more weight on it.

  9. A good tool that I use when I want to meditate while in an active house, I'll go to my room and play a thetawave metronome through my earbuds. The thetawaves are helpful in slotting you in to that meditative state so it's better than simple white noise for this purpose. Here's a link to the one I use:

  10. Really enjoying this challenge and the people that are in this race. Day 2 chalked off!

  11. Cheers bro, I'll try it out.

  12. All good today, was pretty busy without much urge.

  13. I workout every day. I’m doing P90x which is 90 days of pushups, pull-ups, free weights, yoga, plyometrics, kenpo, cardio, ab/core exercises. It is pretty intense but I’m really liking the results.

I also take time to study the scriptures each day and pray. Spiritual strength is just as important to me as physical strength.

I also try and spend time serving my family members and thinking more about others than my self. I think this is the key to living a happy life.

Last 24 hours have been good. I’m getting some good ideas from all of you - thanks for sharing.

Day 2 went without a hitch. It seems that there were many moments when the thought of this challenge (and the community of) has kept me strong.

Day 3. Well I sure have some urges but nothing too bad.

I think that I start tomorrow again some fasting (omad) to lose a couple of pounds. Of course I too try to exercise more.

Check in for day 2! I would like to heartily recommend The Reboot Regimen to anyone looking for a good system to get their life back in order, it's changed the game for me.

  19. Day 2 is in the books. Worked out for upper body today, with just the body weight. Feeling good to start working out after a long time.
