It is really simple, all you have to do to quit porn is to be scared of it, like you are scared of a tiger or a lion and wouldn't dare to jump into their enclosures.

Porn has caused me so many bad thoughts that I am scared of it forever now.

Nothing can bring me back to watch a single porn video after everything I've been through.

That's it, you need to be scared of it.

By watching porn you risk to:
    have a psychosis
    have derealisation problems
    have fucked up thoughts
low your attraction to women irl

If that's not scary enough, I don't know what to say.

The reason why you keep relapsing is because you are not scared of porn.

I am literally scared of it and you all should be too. Be scared of it and you'll be free.

The big question is: how can one become scared?

  3. One f****d up experience with porn and you'll be scared. :emoji_grimacing: But I don't think fear will be enough to stop using porn. For example, I am extremely scared of paranormal things, but...I'm so drawn to these types of things like horror movies, creepypasta stories and animations, interviews or documentaries...even though I'm very scared of them. So yeah, I think you need more than just fear to beat this.

Makes sense. But it can take a while for one to have a f****d experience with porn. That's like hitting rock bottom.
We need a safer way to become scared, IMHO.

One thing that has worked for me is to read horrible stories from guys who are 5 to 10 years older than me. Those always get me scared, like wow if I don't stop now I'll become like that guy in the future. But you got to read them often, to brainwash yourself deeply with the fear.

  5. I wouldn't recommend trying to be scared of something you have to fight with courage. I think, I used to be more scared of porn when I wasn't in control. If porn becomes your phobia, what does it change really? Porn is just one element of the whole problem.

If something makes you feel good, then what's the opposite? Feeling bad, feeling disgusted, not being scared. It sort of worked for me in fighting against some thoughts. When a certain thought comes you should try to do everything to ignore it by thinking about something else. If your thought is too nagging, then you can try turning it into something disgusting.

In truth, porn IS disgusting, but we see it as something pleasant. Summarising, don't be afraid. You're supposed to become courageous.

I'm talking like people being scared of a tiger. Would you jump into its enclosure? No. And therefore, you should not want to feel depressed with fucked up thoughts due to porn. Same analogy.

You are not addicted to porn you are addicted to naked women and people having sex. Your brain don’t know it’s a device you are watching from. All it knows is you are seeing the nakedness of all these women. So from your advice I can say you should be scared of women because your brain don’t know the difference between the lady on the streets and the lady on the internet

Brainwashing is key. Finding someone to help can be very useful. It's hard to scare Yourself.

Wanna beat porn . Make. Rule watch a horror movie or some mrballem videos I don't know. Look on YouTube for demon and ghost stories. Watch like 5 of them then mom in the dark you will be frightened pro at night for the best effects.you won't be able to move your hand. Or move or make a sound. Set electricity to shut off during bed time.

I agree with this. Some people are confused about being "scared" of porn. What the publisher is trying to say is this is a fucked up thing, porn is something that has been made normal since years ago but is not normal, it's just not normal watching other people have sex everyday. It's disgusting, that's what the author is trying to say here, I myself am disgusted with porn, the simple fact to watch other people have sex is disgusting and uncomfortable, it makes me feel bad about myself, this is not normal but we got used to it when we were teens and at first sight, it appeared normal and non-harming but when we realized that our minds are screwed by this, that we see women as objects, this is when we realize this is bad.

  15. If we scare about spiders, we look everywhere for spiders presence.so like that dont be scared of porn. Instead see it as a choice.a choice which you can ignore or get hooked to it.

Sounds better explained here, something that you just don’t have to think about, ignore it, be aware of its harms and keep doing what you’re doing

  17. You being scared of porn will make you scared of urges, in the end making you scared to make the change. Once you realize that its you who has choice to swerve away from porn under very difficult moments, then that's when things look different.

Being afraid of what porn may turn you into is understandable, but recognizing for what porn is ...that's what cruical. There's no reason to be afraid of porn(in my opinion), its you that makes the choice to indulge in your addiction at the end of the day. The reason you're relapsing to porn is because you're not making the right choices in order to get it out of your life.

It is reasonable and good to know how the addiction and porn industry works, but there's no reason to be afraid of it. Irrational fear is in a lot of cases, more or less of a mental barrier and it wont set you free. Self discipline and proper choices will.

  18. If i were you, i wouldn't take advice from someone who only has a 5 days streak.

And for the author: this is not an attack to you, it is to your toxic bullshit.

Why you call it toxic bullshit? Mind give some explaination, huh? And don't mind my 5 days of no pmo only, those 5 days are gonna become a lifetime.

It is a logical way of dealing with PMO addiction. Basically, all I'm saying is to keep the same analogy of being aware of the danger of a tiger and not entering in its enclosure. Same with porn. You should be aware of the consequences you go into and therefore should not engage in fapping. That's what I meant with being scared of the consequences of porn, just like you are scared of cancer. I don't mean being afraid of porn as in sense going into panic everytime a sexual video comes up. I see a lot of people in here misunderstood the message I wanted to give.

It's interesting to me that you decided to call relapses 'the day of shame', if shame and addiction go hand in hand and one fuels the other, if you shame yourself during a relapse wouldn't that make you more likely to just binge once you've relapsed?
