Did it! I'm married so I kept my sex life going but just refrained from PMO and ejaculation. The key is a combination of sincere intention and effective strategies. Urges are like mosquitoes, annoying as hell but just as mosquitoes are a necessary part of many ecosystems, so too are urges necessary for the ecosystem of the mind and heart. Just need some good mosquito repellant! Embrace the journey of ups and downs, this is the way it must be. If you're struggling, please know that that was me for years upon years - hardly a day would go by without PMO, often multiple times. It is very much worth the effort because on this side of the fence, the grass is definitely much greener! All the best to everyone.
Congratulations on your accomplishment! Much respect. What would you say are some benefits you have experienced?
1) Clean living - Honestly, I know it's not flashy but the number one benefit is living porn and masturbation free. It's the feeling of that Greek myth character, Sisyphus, just putting down that dammed boulder! You feel unburdened in a major way! 2) Natural enhancement - It enhances everything else you do to some degree. Sex feels better (minus the O), you can push harder in the gym, more productive at work, etc. I think this has to do with the surplus energy that you get and probably the balancing of dopamine levels as well. 3) Focus/Disciplined life - Nofap is an amazing foundation to get on with the business of fixing other areas of your life. If you can be disciplined with your sexuality, you can probably be disciplined with almost anything. 4) Capacity for intention - In connection to the above, I learned how to set a powerful intention. To do what I've done, you absolutely have to have one. And if you know how to do that with nofap, then you can carry it forward into any other goal or area of your life. 5) Increased charisma - I'm much less hesitant to initiate talk with strangers. I also think there's something to the female attraction thing but it's over stated. But I do sense that I walk around with a kind of intangible glow that some people sense. There are more, but I'll leave it at that. In sum, you feel like a fucking boss! For those of you in your teens or 20s, guys take it from a PMO veteran, get your shit together NOWWWWWW! The one negative (if you can call it that) I have from doing this is the immense regret that I couldn't pull myself together in my early 20s. I'm grappling with feelings of being mad at myself for that.
congratulations, life without PMO is worth of living. on my 47th day i am realizing, how i have ruined my life with PMO for last 14 years.
Congrats man, glad to hear you're feeling good! Definitely, as we go along the journey we have to embrace the tornado. It's inevitable.
Congratulation on your accomplishment. I am married too. How would you describe your sex life. Have you successfully managed to avoid O'ing?
I like how you worded it - how temptations are like mosquitos and natural part of eco-system, well put.
Sex is better than ever! First of all, libido is consistently strong so I'm pretty much always ready to rock and roll... 2 a.m., middle of an earthquake, alien invasion, nuclear war, whatever man let's go! haha. Also, since O is not on the table, I'm not in this big rush to have my pleasure fix, so we take our time and its more intimate. And yes, I have managed to successfully avoid O during sex, many many times. This requires for you and wifey to be on the same page, bring her to climax early, and know when you need to stop lest you cross the point of no return. Bonus benefit is that my wife looks at me sometimes like I'm a Greek God. Like how is this guy doing this. There's no debate about who wears the belt.
i have been addicted to pmo for 22 years and i am on day 91 on hardcore mode, it has been a nightmare but i have to keep strong.
