Hello guys! Today I'm 126 days in my first NoFap journey, I'm doing the No PM-journey (Sex is allowed). Benefits so far: + Had beautiful skin before NoFap, but it's even more beautiful now (Eating healthy all the time is the key to beautiful skin) + Calmer + Curing my anhedonia (Flatline/withdrawal period makes it worse though). This is the main reason for starting NoFap + Before NoFap, sex was nice, but now it's amazing + PIED cured + Women are checking me in all the time and starting conversations with me before I make contact (This is a amazing feeling, can't describe it..) + People are a lot more nicer to me + A lot more optimistic (Before NoFap, everytime I got a compliment, I used to not take that in. Now I'm glad and saying thanks) + Changing my views on women totally, soon ready for relationship Problems during NoFap - Flatline comes and goes. At the moment, I'm in a flatline from hell. Low energy, low motivation, need to take naps and hard to get up in the mornings. - During flatline, I crave a lot of sweets and sometimes I can't stop myself from eating some candy, chocolate etc. - Going to take a lot of time - This is something a lot of us have to be prepared for, 90 days is not enough. - Brutal urges sometimes. When the urges hits you, keep yourself occupied with something! ------------------------------------------ If anyone have any questions, I'm happy to answer them This is totally worth it, just think about the long term goal when you are in the flatline period. Well, it's mostly been when I have been out partying. I don't party that often, because I want the reboot to be quicker and alcohol makes it worse the day after. When I'm out drinking, my flatline seems to disappear but I don't recommend this to anyone.
Well, I got anhedonia so I think that's the reason why I'm still not cured because anhedonia is the lack of dopamine in the brain. I did not use porn a lot but used to masturbate everytime before I was going to have sex.
Things that help a lot with withdrawal symptoms (which you call "flatline") are exercise, meditation, time in nature, socializing, staying offline, and beneficial stressors like cold showers or intermittent fasting. But you have to do them daily to help regulate your mood and get your brain back in balance.
Thanks for the tips. I go to the gym, I meditate and I socializing. Flatline/withdrawal just take time for some, we just need patience.
That's awesome, brother! So happy for you. Thank you for the warnings as well. I'm currently on 12 days or so; my longest streak ever. I also have a feeling that 90 days won't be enough, but I'm prepared for this! Stay strong, my man!

I'm on flatline too feels like no motivation, hard to get up in the morning and need to sleep all day so how long is the flatline go? Congrat to your 126 days streak.
Hey mate, thanks! I don't have a good answer, are you doing hardmode? How long were you addicted? I do the No PM-mode, so I have sex. I think if you do the hardmode, your flatline will be shorter than mine is.
@jorg78 is there a medical test for anhedonia? What were your symptoms and how did you get diagnosed? This is the first time I m hearing about such a thing . Would love to know more about it.
I actually don't know. I have tried almost everything to feel normal again but nothing is working. NoFap is starting to get myself to normal again but it takes time. My symptoms match everything on this site: http://www.anhedoniasupport.com/what-is-anhedonia/ I literally have felt dead inside for a couple of years, having to fake my emotions (if someone cracks a hilarious joke, but I don't feel like its funny), no desire at all, all the things I used to love are so boring that I stop almost immediately with it. The last 2 years have been awful, but I'm not giving up. NoFap is working, but it takes time to reset the brain.
@jorg78 awesome to know NoFap is working for you! I am hoping to extract similar benefits from it. I have one or two symptoms in the link you gave, but I react as expected in all other situations given there. So I suppose lack of dopamine is not my problem but lack of success is. I used masturbation & porn as a quick fix to feel better after feeling down. I even took l-tyrosine for sometime to see if It helps. But it didn’t work. And yes don’t give up. You are an inspiration. I also do no PM mode but sex.(I do PMO for about 8 years.) For me sex is good but I think I feel my pe*** so very sensitive and feel like lower sex stamina(No PE issue) but my erection was hard rock so I'm not sure that's normal on flatline. I think I'll do nofap for as long as possible to see how my body and mind change.
Hello i am 35 years old did mastrbated for 21 years from last 1 year i tried NoFap relapses once in 67 days then once in 80 th day but one i thing i didn't get cured in between thse days that is no morning wood no natural erection and ED also not cured. i m doing excercise also along with brisk walk
