14 days so far.. Urges!

    Hi Folks,

    I have reached 14 days so far right now but I am so horny these last days that I can't stop edging once and a while. How bad is this? I never go all the way but damn. I have some pretty bad urges. Can you guys give me some tips? I want to go on and try to stop this edging but it is sooo hard when I am all alone all the time. (GF is gone travelling...) Any thoughts? Put them down below pls. It will help me :)

  2. i think what works is different for everyone. here are a few things to try.
    Breath deeply and slowly
    play a video game
    pray
    exercise
    read forums
    chat with a AP
    read bible


    well those are my strategies. if anyone has otgers please add. There not 100 % effective so im always looking for other ways.

    I second prodicalson's suggestion of deep breathing. Humans are sexual creatures, horny thoughts and feelings will arise till the day we die. When they do, practice staying focused on your breathing, and just experience what it is like to be horny without trying to change it or do anything about it. If you do this practice daily and keep it up, little by little you will get better at staying with your awareness and horny thoughts and feelings won't seem like such a big deal anymore.

    Look up info on mindfulness meditation if this interests you.

    If an urge is extremely strong stop whatever your doing immediately and go do something else. Also, just repeat 'no' over and over in your head. I'm a day ahead and know what you're going through. Stay strong!!! Don't give in, it isn't worth it.

    You don't want to hear this, but it's time for some tough love: Edging is masturbation. It gives the brain a big shot of dopamine, whether you release or not. You're wasting your time trying to break the addiction while edging. What we do is no-PMO, not no-PO. It's a three-legged stool, and it will collapse without all three legs. You need to turn over a new leaf and stop edging. Your urges will become easier to manage if you don't edge (beginning at about three weeks in my case); but they never will if you keep feeding them with dopamine. Use whatever tricks and distractions that work for you, but take it one day at a time, and just don't.
     
  7. If you touch your dick for any reason other than urination/washing, it's a reset in my opinion.
     
  8. Ok im on day 21 no PM, no edging, etc. Id like to say this "all urges are completly gone, not horney at all, sex drive is completely turned of except when i want it turned on. " id like to say that the reality is every free moment is a battle to be fought.I wish someone could let us know what healthy sex drive is. Maybe tgis is it but people just know how to control themself.

    Sex drive doesn't get extinguished by no-PMO. The vast majority of long-term practitioners still have desires, feel urges, get horny, etc. That's just part of being male. What changes is that you learn to live with it without feeling under an unnatural compulsion to do things that you've decided that you don't want to do. That's healthy self-control.

    yea, edging is musterbation and it counts. Anyway dont worry about that. Edging will soon be under your full control. I have completed my 90 days and I have a lot of experience. Everything like being honny and edging is soon going to end. All the best guys.
