Hey guys, I'm 26 and have been consuming pornography since I was 9 years old. I've heard of nofap through reddit and have tried a reboot several times. The longest I made it was 4 days. I've read the research countless times, and I know how much damage I've already done. It's made me extremely sexually conservative, fearful of, and uncomfortable around women, and I have virtually no control over my sexual functions. I've decided to join the community because I don't think I can do this without a support system, and I'm far too afraid to talk about it with any of my friends. Day 1, attempt 12 at a reboot starting today. I really want to beat this, get my life, and sexual health back.

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and not judge you.

What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

The thing I know about habits is that you can't just do away with one, it has to be replaced with another. So I'm starting by making a list of things I should go do in the event I get an urge to relapse. All of which involve putting as much space between myself and my computer during an urge. Going for a walk, meditating, or practicing guitar are all on my list thus far. I'm going to be bookmarking the NoFap panic button when I get home. Finally, I'm hoping that logging my progress here in a public forum will help me remain accountable. Thanks for saying hello!
