Today I started my journey of nofap to quit this worst addiction of my life. Today was my first day and it was good. I enjoyed it. I wakee up at 7 am and gone for walk and did some excercise and meditation. Today I focused on my study, yes got little problem in concentrating during study because of brain fog effect. But I fight with myself and completed 80% of my schedule.

  7. Brain fog is definitely a very noticeable issue while doing NoFap and as a porn addict. It’s most noticeable the first few weeks, I recommend you keep doing what you’re doing, working on yourself and the rest will come in it’s own

Hello guys, today I successfully completed my nofap day 2. But I struggled more with my brain fog effect, but I didn't quit and continued my studies but unable to complete my today's schedule because I got busy in some other work. I also attended a brain rewire session today. Let's fight and quit this addiction forever.

I have had 18 years or so of struggle with porn. Here is what I have learned:

I relapsed twice after 6 months Or so being porn free. I was beating myself up over it and depressed for a few days, I’m currently a year free from that relapse. Although in this year, I had 2 near relapses and straddled the line and looked and tempted myself more than I should have back in December and January.

I have a wife and kids and I had to tell her when I relapsed on one of times in 6 month gap. she has helped me , Along with a few friends opened up too. It lifted a huge weight off.

I have learned a lot in my struggle with porn. One, is what triggers me. A lot on the internet and tv triggered me(seeing beautiful women). I believe my last relapse was super bowl halftime show, I didn’t relapse that night, but like a week or two after it, but those images stayed with me and I kept wanting more, even after 6 months. The relapse before was seeing on ESPN website the athletes body magazine and got curious which athletes made it and had beautiful woman. Had zero intention of doing porn, but those were triggers.

I also researched And watched videos of the science behind it all and it releases dopamine In your brain and scary how the addiction can become when I thought I could control it.

the ways I feel like I have conquered it for good was that I had my wife put in an adult filter password that I don’t know what it is(it could be a friend if not married). It’s my backup plan when having a bad day and can’t see the adult sites. I also don’t watch shows that could trigger me and try to turn my head if I think a scene is coming. More importantly though, I have really grown in my faith with God. I have listened to so many sermons on temptations and that has helped me tremendously. Rick Warren and Greg Laurie are 2 of my favorites and have helped me a ton!! I learned about all the garbage I was putting in my mind. The analogy was how we have to watch what we eat, we can’t eat McDonald’s fried food every meal without bad consequences, the same thing applies with what you consistently put in your mind. We are trying to undo years and years of bad addictions and it takes time to undo that.
“Above Inspiration” YouTube videos are great too. Give them a listen, it’s usually 10-20 min long.

Hopefully this helps and try and learn as much as possible and avoid whatever gets you tempted and triggered. M make it a lifestyle change and don’t beat yourself up if you have a relapse. Just learn from it and keep trying to do better. Porn free radio podcast by Matt Dobschuetz
I also told myself , I would help as many people possible struggling with this as I could once when I got it under control.

Learn as much as you can and it is beatable. Hopefully some of these tools and analogies help.

Hello guys, it was my day 3 of nofap and today was not that much good. Today in morning I have done my work properly. I have done meitation and excercise also. But in afternoon I was unable to focus on my studies and my concentration got distracted due to YouTube. And I wasted my 3 hours on it. And then it created a negative thinking inside me and urges got started. But I controlled myself and took a break from study today and planned and motivation myself for tomorrow. Pls give me some suggestion to control Brain Fog. Thankyou

When you get tempted again refocus your attention on something else. Don’t say “I’m not looking at porn” over and over again because that whole time you are thinking it. Go do something completely else, maybe go outside, take a shower, go for a walk etc

Hello guys, today I am very sad because today I got relapses and masturbate becuase this time I was unable to focus on my study and because of some other life problems which dipressed me I got distracted. But I didn't give up I stopped myself from ceaser effect and gathered myself again, and decided to continue by making day 0. And this time I will not loose myself control and I will fight with this fu..king addiction. I need some tips for controling urges and dipressed situation. And also suggest me how to remind yourself about not doing this at the time we get distracted. Now this time I am not going to loose

Learn when you are most often to do it, where, try and keep all internet away from you. Focus on getting your mind and thoughts well. Keep researching off YouTube about effects of porn and other success stories and what they did on YouTube.

Do workouts, it helped me to start the Day with some succes bc if you reach your workout-goals you are 1. awake and not totally tired the whole day so you don't spend so much time about thinking to sleep or relax on your bed and 2. whenever you reach a goal dopamine will be released which helps your mood and lowers the PMO temption.
If you feel lazy do some workout it helps. I've got an app which blocks the sides and apps you want not visit during work: BlockSide. The perma bann for websites doesn't work out totally but most is blocked.
    I hope it'll help you :)
