180 DAY CHALLENGE: EXTREME MODE

  3. I reset my counter in this challenge. Last night I got stuck in my bed, and lost myself in fantasies. It then took me ages to go have a shower and go sleeping.

    This is going to be difficult, but never mind.

    I know the feeling. That was why I joined this challenge in addition to the other challenge. I decided to join this challenge with additional rules:
    * No sexual activities whatsoever except with my wife
    * No sexual fantasies when I’m awake. I must stop all fantasies asap
    * No nocturnal emission
    * No dreams (that I remember) about watching porn when I’m asleep.
    * Sexual fantasies that does not include watching porn is OK when I’m asleep

    This together with a rule from the habit changer challenge: "After I get a thought in my head that I don't want there, I will extend my peripheral thoughts by taking in external impressions from the environment." gives me the kind of armour I need: as soon as I start to think about something I don't want / shall not think about, I quickly scan the place I'm in to get something else to think about as quickly as possible. That said, all fantasies are stopped asap in this way and it works very good.
     
  6. Yes, I can already anticipate how this challenge will help me. It's going to be useful to have a setting where the goals are ambitious, but it's relatively safe to fail. When this challenge is taken independently, there is a lesser chance that minor slips will escalate into something else.

  7. I only now realized what the rules of this challenge actually were. I somehow confused them with your rules, Force Majeure. Why is this even called extreme mode? No edging and psubs should be basic stuff for any reboot challenge, in my opinion. My goal is to avoid all fantasizing as well, since that's basically just not taking action in your life.

  8. In my opinion, everything that is allowed if you remove the additional rules I have added is edging in one way or another, so yes I totally agree. We could of course spinn off another challenge with the additional rules but for me it works equally well to just modify the challenge a bit. Feel free to do the same but if you want to create a more extreme challenge I will most certainly join you :)
